Cash Management Services

Collection and Payment Services

Standard Chartered's Collection Services suite helps improve your customer-to-cash cycle significantly. We simplify the collection process by helping your customers route their payments through the easiest, fastest and most efficient channels, reducing the average pan-China cash collection lead-times to less than 1 day. At the same time, we provide full remittance information with each collection through our ties to the People's Bank of China's (PBOC) electronic inter-bank settlement system, CNAPS and by leveraging our network of local alliance banks.

Standard Chartered offers foreign currency cheques for collection at all of our branches. We offer same-city and Pearl River Delta RMB paper clearing facilities including the clearing of cheques, credit vouchers and bank drafts. In addition, we can arrange USD and HKD same-city paper clearing, as well as the clearing of Hong Kong issued HKD papers in Shenzhen.

We have dramatically improved the payments process by linking customers' Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems with our multilingual payments platforms. A single payment file can be uploaded from an ERP system to effect all pan-China RMB payments and overseas payments in all currencies. Standard Chartered further minimises manual processing by automatically sending a beneficiary advice to each vendor and supplier concerned, as well as sending automatic payment status files directly to the client's ERP to facilitate reconciliation.

Payroll Services

Standard Chartered facilitates payroll management through single file processing from any ERP system, easing the administrative burden of payment preparation and approval. Payroll confidentiality is controlled through restricted access, batch debiting and channelling of electronic reconciliation files to authorised personnel only. Solutions apply to both local and expatriate staff, the latter being able to repatriate income without having to set foot in our branches.

Superior Reporting

We appreciate how vital timely information is to managing funds more effectively. We provide intra-day, daily, weekly and monthly account statements, consolidated balances, pooling reports, payment statuses, fixed deposits and outstanding loan reports. We also provide a choice of different delivery channels, including Straight2Bank, fax or email. Each Straight2Bank customer can link to more than 100 associated companies and receive reports on more than 200 accounts including RMB accounts with the main local banks.
