Bilal has years of experience covering Pakistan’s economy and joined us in 2015, based in Karachi. Prior to joining the Bank, he was a senior economic adviser to the UK’s Foreign & Commonwealth Office, providing analysis on Pakistan to government departments. Previously, at Pakistan’s central bank, Bilal covered monetary policy and energy for their flagship publication, ‘The State of Pakistan’s Economy’. He holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the London School of Economics.
