Am I eligible for Standard Chartered Car Insurance? You can enjoy Standard Chartered Car Insurance if:
- You are a UAE resident
- Drivers who are between 25 years old and 65 years old
- Drivers with minimum 1 year UAE driving license or 2 years from transferable countries
- Vehicles registered in individuals name for personal use
- Vehicle less than 10 years old from first registration
What factors affect my insurance premium? Several factors are used to estimate your insurance premium. Amongst these factors are the age of the driver, length of driving experience, claims history, location, vehicle value and type. Can I transfer the insurance cover to the new owner when I sell my car? Your insurance premium is determined based on your profile; it is not possible to simply transfer insurance cover from one driver to another. Your existing policy will be cancelled. The new vehicle owner will then be required to buy a new insurance policy for registration purposes. What garages will be used to repair my car? Your vehicle will be repaired at the vehicle's authorised dealership, if you have selected Agency Repairs. Alternatively, AXA will select one of its own authorised repairers.
How does Standard Chartered Car Insurance differ from other car insurance products?
Standard Chartered Car Insurance is provided by AXA. AXA is the largest international general insurance provider in the region. AXA provides one of the highest levels of car protection in the Middle East - combined with the security and service standards of a large international operation, 24-hour accident recovery, guaranteed repairs and extended opening hours. Am I protected for off-road damage? Your insurance policy automatically covers cars with off-road capability when driven off-road. The cover will only be applicable as long as you are not using your vehicle in a race or competitive event. This benefit is not applicable for Motor Select customers.
