Standard Chartered participates at the Royal University for Women's Career Day
Development of Bahrainis is at the heart of the Bank's strategy
Bahrain – 16 April 2013 - Standard Chartered Bank in Bahrain participated in Royal University for Women's (RUW) Career Day event that took place at the university's campus. The event was aimed at educating Bahraini students on the various careers available as well as offer unique opportunities.
Standard Chartered is also an active player in the education sector where it supports the Crown Prince International Scholarship Program as well as plays an active role in the community by continuously providing training and employment opportunities for Bahraini talent. The bank is also an active participant in the banking career days and constantly conducting career guidance visits to schools, colleges and universities.
Commenting on the Bank's participation at RUW's Career's Day, David Al Ashhab, Head of Human Resources in Bahrain Standard Chartered said:

Below is a list of the programmes that the Bank currently provides:
The Consumer Banking Academy and the Al Massar Programme: These programmes aim to acquaint Bahrainis with the financial services industry, including product knowledge and risks associated with Consumer and Wholesale Banking.
International Graduate Programme: The programmes last up to 18 months and provide candidates with an International Induction Programme (IIP) and an academic programme, role rotations in different business or support functions, a regional Action Learning Programme where candidates will collaborate with other graduates to develop and implement projects. The programme also provides extensive formal and informal learning opportunities to accelerate the development of the future leaders of the bank.
