Standard Chartered Bank affirms support of the Crown Prince's International Scholarship Program
5 August 2009, Bahrain- The Crown Prince's International Scholarship Program (CPISP) Director Dr. Ronald Koller received today at his office the CEO of Standard Chartered Bank, Mr. Jonathan Morris, who presented a check for BD 10,000 to the Scholarship Fund, and which comes as part of the bank's BD 50,000 commitment to the CPISP in the "Friends" category of sponsorship.
Dr. Koller thanked Standard Chartered Bank for its annual contribution and continued support, which he said reflects its commitment to contribute to the development of Bahrain's outstanding youth and education.
Mr. Morris said, "Standard Chartered Bank greatly admires HH Crown Prince's vision for Bahrain's future and as a leading member of Bahrain's banking community, we are proud to support the development of youth and learning in partnership with CPISP. Our partnership with CPISP further reinforces our commitment to cultivate local talent in Bahrain."
Mr. Morris also expressed the bank's keenness to provide CPISP students with internship opportunities at its offices in Bahrain and abroad.
