Terms and Conditions:

Member-Get-Member Promotion (“this Promotion”) Terms and Conditions (“these Terms and Conditions”):

  1. Term
    1. This Promotion begins from now until 31 July 2017 (“Promotion Period”).
  2. Eligibility & Benefits
    1. This Promotion is open to existing Standard Chartered Bank Brunei customers (“Referrer”) who have an active account or lending facility with the bank and successfully refers a new customer (“Referred”) to apply for a lending facility with the bank.
    2. A lending facility can be made up of a Credit Card, Personal Loan, Mortgage Loan or a combination of two or all of these facilities.
    3. Credit Card
      1. A Credit Card referral is classified as successful upon approval granted to a new customer for a minimum credit limit of BND1,500.
      2. A successful Credit Card referral and its benefits will also be applicable to existing customers who have not held a credit card with the bank for at least 12 months prior to the application and is approved for a minimum credit limit of BND1,500.
      3. The Referred’s Credit Card application must be approved within 7 days after the Promotion Period has ended in order to be classified as a successful referral.
      4. The Referred will also enjoy prevailing new credit card promotions if they apply for a new credit card. Should there be any cancellation of their credit cards within 12 months of approval of application, then they will be subjected to the value of any gift or reward received from the new credit card promotion charged back to their card.
    4. Personal Loan
      1. A Personal Loan referral is classified as successful upon approval granted to customer with either:
        1. A minimum incremental loan amount of BND20,000 with no minimum tenor required
        2. Or
        3. b) Any loan amount lower than BND20,000 subjected to a minimum tenor of 5 years
      2. The Referred’s Personal Loan application must be approved within 7 days after the Promotion Period has ended in order to be classified as a successful referral.
    5. Mortgage Loan
      1. A Mortgage Loan referral is classified as successful upon approval granted to customer with either:
        1. A minimum incremental loan amount of BND150,000 with no minimum tenor required
        2. Or
        3. Any loan amount lower than BND150,000 subjected to a minimum tenor of 10 years
      2. The Referred’s Mortgage Loan application must be approved within 7 days after the Promotion Period has ended in order to be classified as a successful referral.
    6. The bank will reward the Referrer on the 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th and 10th successful referral.
    7. The Referrer may select from a choice of Rewards (as indicated under viii below). The Referrer must indicate their selection in the application form prior to submission.Failure to make an indication of choice will result in the bank reserving the right to select on behalf of the Referrer.
    8. Choice of Referral reward for successful referrals as below:

  1. Choice of Rewards are on a first-come-first serve basis and may not be amended once submitted. Should the Reward be unavailable, the bank reserves the right to select on behalf of the Referrer.
  2. Successful referrals will be communicated to the Referrer via SMS to the mobile number in the bank’s records.
  3. Referral Rewards will be delivered directly to eligible Referrers to the address in our bank records two (2) weeks after each successful referral.
  4. Should there be a duplicate in referral of the same individual, the Referrer who submitted the Referred’s details earlier will be eligible for the reward.
  5. Standard Chartered Bank is not an agent of the vendors supplying the goods and services under the Promotion (“Participating Partners”).
  6. Standard Chartered Bank shall not be responsible for the services and products offered or supplied by Participating Partners. The services and products are the responsibility of Participating Partners and are subject to their terms and conditions.
  7. Standard Chartered Bank employees are eligible to take part in this Promotion, excluding employees in areas of Sales and Service.
  1. Banking Agreement
    1. This Promotion is governed and subject to be contained within the our terms and conditions on which we provide our products including the Customer Terms, ProductTerms and any other documents forming our banking agreement.
  2. General
    1. We may vary, modify, delete or add to these Term and Conditions by notice to you in accordance with our usual practice and in accordance with any applicable law. This may include giving notice to you by public announcement as set out in Clause 7.3 of Customer Terms.
    2. We may substitute benets with similar value and at any time without prior notice and without assigning reasons thereof.
    3. We may cancel or withdraw this Promotion at any time.
    4. In the case of any disputes arising from or in connection with this Promotion, our decision is final and conclusive.
