Security Measures
- What security measures are being used by Standard Chartered eStatement?
Standard Chartered has adopted comprehensive security measures to safeguard your use of the eStatement service.Customer Authentication with Access Code
Your online statement can only be accessed with your personalised Access Code.Strong End-to-end Encryption
Back to top
The Bank has adopted a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) 128 bit end-to-end encryption technology that provides Triple-DES encryption to protect the privacy and confidentiality of all information transmitted between your Personal Computer browser and the Bank’s systems through the Internet, from the moment you log-in to the moment you log-out. - What precautions can I take for eStatement?
Safeguard your Access Code- Never reveal your Access Code to anyone
- Do not use easy-to-guess numbers, such as your birthdays and phone numbers, as your Access Code
- Change your Access Code regularly
- Always memorise your Access Code. Try not to write it down. If you cannot remember the code, you should always disguise the password and keep it in a safe place separate from where you keep your card account details
- Remember to disable your auto-complete function on your browser, as this will make your Access Code automatically available to anyone having access to your system.

Encryption is a security process that scrambles information for transmission at one end, and then decodes it for receipt at the other end. Encryption is used to prevent unauthorised access to your statements.
