Application process

Your future is only 7 steps away!

Step 1: Register online

Once you have registered as an applicant for our Banking Associate Programme, we will email you a password for the application form.
Time this step takes - approximately 5 mins

Step 2: Your personal details

You will be asked to provide your personal details, including your educational background, the languages you speak and any work experience you have. You will also be asked to identify all countries in which you are legally eligible to work.
Time this step takes - approximately 20 mins

Step 3: Online talent assessment

After completing steps 1 and 2, you will be asked to take an assessment - this is designed to show the fit between you and Standard Chartered’s culture.
Time this step takes - approximately 30 mins

Step 4: Online numerical reasoning test

If you are successful at the talent assessment, you will then be asked to complete a test designed to demonstrate your numerical reasoning ability. It's important that you complete the practice questions first, as you will only have one opportunity to take the test and practising can help improve your score significantly.
Time this step takes - approximately 30 mins

Step 5: General questions

If you pass the online assessments, you will be asked to complete three open-ended questions that measure your skills and knowledge.
Time this step takes - approximately 1 hour

Step 6: Banking Essential Programme

After the candidate passes the on-line test and our selection criteria, candidates will be short listed and invited to a 1-day Banking Essential Programme for assessment.

Step 7: Formal offer

If you are able to demonstrate the skills, knowledge and talent we are looking for, we will make you a formal offer of employment.
