Eligibility

  • Applicable to new account opening applications of onshore enterprises only.
  • Each client can apply for Smart Business Account once only.
  • A minimum monthly Total Business Credits (TBCs) of
    • Eligible Silver Clients is RMB 50,000 (not inclusive RMB 50,000) or the equivalent in foreign currencies
    • Eligible Gold Clients is RMB 200,000 (not inclusive RMB 200,000) or the equivalent in foreign currencies
    • Eligible Platinum Clients is RMB 600,000 (not inclusive RMB 600,000) or the equivalent in foreign currencies on inward credit transactions is required.
  • Total Business Credits (TBCs) refers to total business credits aggregated at client level and computed based on the inward funds credited into all Business Account under company Master ID including Inward Remittance, Cheque Collection (LCY) Local Cheque Processing - Clear Funds, Bank Draft/ Bank Accepted Draft Collection, Direct Debit from SCB Account, Cash Deposit, Cheque Deposit, Virtual Account Transaction Fee.

FAQs

    • How do you charge the fees incurred from Smart Business Account?

      After successful application of Smart Business Account, we will calculate the TBCs of the entire month on the last working day of the calendar month. If the TBCs requirement fails to be fulfilled in a certain month, we shall charge all service fee/transaction charges on the first working day of the subsequent calendar month based on the standard tariff under SBA (i.e. preferential rate not applicable).

    • Which account will be used to pay charges incurred from for Smart Business Account?

      All of the service fee will be deducted from your designated SBA and all other transactional charges will be deducted either from your designated SBA account or from other relevant bank the transacting accounts.

    • Does any of the electronic service platforms and value-added services included in Smart Business Account incur any charges?

      No. All electronic services platforms and value-added services included in Smart Business Account are offered for free.

    • If I want to apply for business working capital facility, trade services and foreign exchange hedging solution, or if the business owner of Smart Business Account would like to become your Priority Clients, how to apply?
