Meet the author

Based in Hong Kong, Barnaby Nelson leads the business agenda for institutional investor and financial intermediary clients across North East Asia and Greater China, with a focus on supporting clients’ growth aspirations across Asia, Africa and the Middle East. He has worked in the Asian securities services space for over 10 years, most recently at BNP Paribas, where he was head of client development for Asia for the Securities Services division. There, Barnaby launched and established the Bank’s custody, fund administration and outsourcing platforms in four Asian markets. In 2014, he was voted a ‘Global Custodian Legend’ by Global Custodian magazine. Prior to that, Barnaby worked as a business owner for Thomson Reuters’ information and market data feeds in Asia-Pacific; after completing previous assignments in London, New York and Luxembourg.
