Taimoor Labib

Taimoor joined Standard Chartered in 2010 and oversees one of the premier emerging market private equity portfolios with investments in Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, based in Dubai. As Regional Head of MENA Private Equity, he also manages the principal investment teams making direct private equity and mezzanine investments in regional Middle East and North Africa companies. Taimoor sits on the boards of Saudi-based CPC (the region’s largest building materials company), Topaz Energy & Marine (an offshore support vessels business based in Dubai), Al Jazeera Poultry (Jordan), and FINE (the leading regional hygienic paper products and tissues company). With almost two decades of private equity and investment banking experience, Taimoor previously worked for Bear Stearns in New York and The Carlyle Group in Washington DC, and holds a Bachelors of Science degree from Carnegie Mellon University.
