Meet the author
Based in Beijing, Se joined us in July 2015. His role involves connecting academic research with on-the-ground analysis, helping inform policy debate. He was previously an associate professor at Peking University, where he also served as vice chair of the Department of Economics, and a policy consultant to China’s government. He holds a Bachelor’s in International Economics and a Master’s in Economic History from Peking University, and a PhD in Economics from UCLA.
