Standard Chartered has recently added to its Cash Equity Sales team with the appointment of:
Juanita Halim, as Director, Asian Equity Sales;
Germaine Khong, as Associate Director, ASEAN Equity Sales;
Dan Vovil, Executive Director, Hong Kong Equity Sales; and
Angie Won, as Director, Korea Equity Sales.
These new appointments are aligned to the Bank’s ongoing momentum to invest in and grow its equities business capabilities across our footprint markets on the back of client demand.
About our new appointees
Juanita brings to Standard Chartered more than 20 years’ experience in selling Asian equities to North American institutional investors. Based in NewYork and reporting to Benedict Perez, Head of Equities for Americas, Juanita will be instrumental in strengthening the Bank’s equity distribution with real money funds in Boston and New York. She joined the Bank in June.
Germaine will focus on expanding Standard Chartered’s ASEAN product offering. She brings extensive experience in research and sales acquired during her time at CIMB and Maybank. Germaine joined the team in Singapore in August, and reports to Craig Mcgee, Head of Equities for ASEAN.
Having joined Standard Chartered in September, Dan is a boost to the Hong Kong Generalist Sales team in their effort to expand Cash Equity Sales initiatives in Hong Kong. Dan brings with him a decade of sell-side experience gleaned during his stay at Macquarie. He reports to David Nichols, Head of Cash Equity Sales, Hong Kong.
Angie, who also joined in September, brings with her 12 years of specialist and generalist sales experience in Korea. She has honed her expertise during her previous employments with ABN Amro, BNP Paribas, and most recently Citi. Based in Seoul, Angie will focus on improving account coverage and equity product offering in Korea. She reports to Jason Kim, Head of International Korea Sales.
