Colin Brooks

Colin has almost 30 years’ experience in the securities business, based in Asia. Having worked as a project manager with the London Stock Exchange during the Big Bang de-regulation of the late 1980s, Colin moved to Hong Kong in 1990 to help establish HSBC’s securities services business, serving in a variety of regional and global roles, including global head of the sub-custody and clearing business, which he left in August 2015 to join SCB.

He is currently Vice Chairman of SCB’s Securities Services (SS) business, based in Singapore, in which role he acts as senior adviser to the business, focussing on roll-out of initiatives to reinforce SCB as a major securities services’ provider. He is executive SS sponsor for a number of key, global client relationships and is also currently Acting Regional Head of SS for Greater China & North East Asia.
