Madeleine (Maddy) Senior

Madeleine (Maddy) Senior is the Managing Director, Regional Head of Financing and Securities Services, Americas and Europe, at Standard Chartered Bank. She joined Standard Chartered Bank in June 2019, and is based in London.

Maddy has been in the industry for 25 years and is a seasoned market facing professional with extensive management and sales experience. Prior to joining Standard Chartered, Maddy worked for Northern Trust and was a member of the institution’s leadership council and the APAC management group. She has held several senior positions and was most recently the Regional Managing Director for Australasia where she was accountable for maintaining a strong relationship with the local regulatory bodies, establishing the capital markets division in Sydney (acquiring a brokerage, placing FX, Treasury and securities lending traders on the ground), overseeing the Asset Management business and defining the overall holistic Australasia business strategy. In addition to this, she was accountable for client satisfaction and retention, as well as sales, product capability and the business P&L.

She has also held positions previously as the Head of Europe, Middle East, and Africa sales, leading business development, product evolution, marketing, and strategy across asset owners, asset managers, insurance companies, hedge funds and sovereign wealth communities; and before that the Managing Director for the Nordic Region, at Northern Trust. Maddy has also sat on asset management, funds and industry boards across Europe and Australia.

Outside of work, she is an advocate for (and frequently speaks at) diversity councils and Women in Leadership forums. She is also a qualified English teacher.
