What drew you to a career in banking?
Pursuing a career in banking has always been one of my ambitions, but I did not take the leap until one of my friends at college embarked on his journey with a bank. I saw how quickly he was able to develop his skills and get involved with the integral operations of his organisation and I wanted to be a part of that too.

What's the biggest challenge you’ve faced since joining Standard Chartered?
During the early years of my twelve-year stint, my team and I encountered a multitude of challenges whilst progressing deals with clients due to the aggressive targeting of our competition. To keep up with the progression of the industry, my team and I had to work quickly and efficiently to devise new procedures that streamlined the onboarding process to combat the aggressive strategies of our competitors. We worked diligently to implement the new process and we quickly superseded our competitors. I am very proud of how my team and I overcame this challenge, I believe that our work during this time was a genuine testament to how we never settle at Standard Chartered.
