PRUhealth Essential Critical Care Terms and Conditions

  1. This premium waiver promotion (the “Promotion”) is offered by Prudential Hong Kong Limited (A member of Prudential plc group) (“Prudential”) and Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) Limited (the “Bank”). The promotion period is from 10 August 2019 to 31 Mar 2020, both dates inclusive (the “Promotion Period”).
  2. Unless otherwise specified, the Promotion is applicable to PRUhealth essential critical care which is underwritten by Prudential and successfully applied and paid through Standard Chartered Mobile App within the Promotion Period.
  3. The Promotion represents a waiver of the first 3-month premium (equivalent to 1/4 of the annual premium) payable by the policyholder under the eligible policy.
  4. The premium waiver amount under the Promotion is based on the first year’s total annualised premium of the basic plan of PRUhealth essential critical care for each eligible policy. The levy which corresponds to the premium waiver under the Promotion will NOT be waived.
  5. The premium wavier also does NOT apply to the policy fee (if any) of the basic plan of PRUhealth essential critical care. The policy fee is as follows and will NOT be waived under the Promotion:

  1. In the case that the bank account or credit card payment of actual premium payable and levy(ies) is rejected by the Bank, the Promotion will be forfeited.
  2. Unless otherwise specified, the Promotion cannot be enjoyed in conjunction with other prevailing promotion offers. In the event that the eligible policies also qualify for other prevailing promotion offers, Prudential and the Bank shall, at their sole discretion, determine which offer(s) shall apply.
  3. Customers understand and accept that the Bank is not the supplier of the products/ services purchased from the insurer. The Bank’s role is limited to distributing the insurance product(s) only and the Bank shall not be responsible for any matters in relation to the product(s) provided, including without limitation, their quality, the supply, the descriptions of goods and/or services provided by the insurer, any false trade description, misrepresentation, mis-statement, omission, unauthorized representation, unfair trade practices or conduct in connection with the products/services provided by the insurer, its employees, or officers, except such is arising out of the act, error, omission or negligence of the Bank, its employees, officers, contractors or agents.
  4. Prudential and the Bank shall have the right, without prior notice, to terminate the Promotion or to amend any of the terms and conditions as provided herein. In the event of any dispute, applicants accept that the final decision of Prudential and the Bank shall be binding upon them.
  5. Prudential shall decide at its absolute discretion whether or not to issue any insurance policy.
  6. The Promotion details and other relevant information provided herein are for reference only. They do not constitute any contract or part thereof between Prudential and any person or entity.
  7. PRUhealth essential critical care is underwritten by Prudential which is regulated and authorized to carry on long term business in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region under the Insurance Ordinance. The Bank is an insurance agent appointed by Prudential. To the extent permissible by law, the Bank shall not be liable to any person for the use of any of the information under this application.
