  2. The Preferential Savings Interest Rate is not guaranteed. The Bank reserves the right to make any adjustment to the Preferential Savings Interest Rate from time to time at our sole and absolute discretion.
  3. New Cardholders are applicants who currently do not hold and in the past 6 months have not cancelled any Principal Card of Standard Chartered Credit Card or MANHATTAN Credit Card from the date of credit card approval.
  4. Annualised Percentage Rate (“APR”) of Standard Chartered Credit Card for retail purchase is 33.41%; annual fee is HK$1,800. An APR is a reference rate which includes the basic interest rate and other fees and charges of a product expressed as an annualised rate.

Terms and Conditions


A. General Terms and Conditions
  1. The promotion period is from 1 July 2017 to 31 December 2017, both dates inclusive (the “Promotion Period”).
  2. Each eligible client may be entitled to the offers as specified under sections B to E below (each an “Offer”, collectively “Offers”) only once during the Promotion Period. If more than one account holder is involved in the sign up, only the Primary Account Holder will be the Eligible Client.
  3. If the Eligible Client is entitled to the following offers in conjunction with other promotional offers, Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) Limited (the "Bank") reserves the right to grant the Eligible Client one of or part of the entitled offers.
  4. Each of the banking products and services set out in these Terms and Conditions is subject to respective eligibility, application process and product Terms and Conditions or other banking agreement. For details, please contact the Bank’s staff.
  5. The deposit and/or balance maintenance requirement mentioned in these Terms and Conditions are part of a promotion offer for Gift, Cash Rebate or Fee Waiver. They are not mandatory requirements which must be met before any client may apply and be granted any banking product or service. Any one of our products or services may be applied and granted independently.
  6. Clients understand and accept that the Bank is not the supplier of the products/services/gifts provided by any merchants. The Bank shall bear no liability relating to any aspect of the products/services/gifts, including without limitation, their quality, the supply, the descriptions of products/services/gifts provided by the merchant, any false trade description, misrepresentation, mis-statement, omission, unauthorized representation, unfair trade practices or conduct in connection the products/services/gifts provided by the merchant, its employees, officers or agents.
  7. The Bank reserves the right to terminate any of the following offer(s) and to vary or modify any of the Terms and Conditions below from time to time. In case of disputes, the decision of the Bank shall be final and binding.
  8. If there is any inconsistency or conflict between the English and the Chinese versions of these Terms and Conditions, the English version shall be final and prevail.

B. Terms and Conditions for First 4-quarter Maintenance Fee Waiver Offer (the “Fee Waiver Offer”)
  1. To enjoy the Fee Waiver Offer, client must sign up for EasyBanking BonusPack Services during the Promotion Period and fulfill all the requirements below:
    1. Has not been holding any banking plans within the past 12 months from the date of Easy Banking BonusPack sign-up; and
    2. Apply for and maintain HKD Savings Account, HKD Current Account (or any Foreign Currency Savings Account), Standard Chartered Credit Card, Standard Chartered ATM Card, and Online Banking Services (or Phone Banking Services) upon Easy Banking BonusPack Services sign-up. Client must complete the registration of Online Banking Services or use the Phone Banking Services at least once within 2 weeks from the date of signing up for Easy Banking BonusPack Services.
  2. Client who is eligible for the Fee Waiver Offer will be entitled to a waiver of maintenance fee at HK$120 per quarter during the first 4 quarters after the signing up of the Easy Banking BonusPack.
  3. If the average daily Relationship Balance of the Client within the quarter falls below HK$10,000 after the expiry of the maintenance fee waiver period under the Fee Waiver Offer, a maintenance fee of HK$120 will be charged for the quarter. For details, please refer to the Service Charges booklet and Banking Terms & Conditions which can be obtained at any of our branches or at our website sc.com/hk.

C. Terms and Conditions for Offer 1 – Welcome Offer for New-to-Bank Client
  1. The offer is applicable only to client who did NOT hold any banking products or services in the past 12 months from the date of Easy Banking BonusPack sign-up with the Bank except Standard Chartered Credit Cards (“New-to-Bank Client”). Standard Chartered Credit Cards refer to Standard Chartered Credit Card, Standard Chartered WorldMiles Card and Standard Chartered co-branded Credit Card (including supplementary cards and corporate cards) issued by the Bank. In order to be eligible for the Welcome Offer of HK$50 Cash Rebate under this Offer 1 (“Cash Rebate”), New-to-Bank Client must successfully sign up for Easy Banking BonusPack during the Promotion Period.
  2. Cash Rebate will be credited to New-to-Bank Client’s sole name HKD deposit account (excluding MortgageOne® Account and Mortgage $aver Current Account) or sole name USD deposit account (only if New-to-Bank Client has no valid sole name HKD deposit account) with the Bank in the following sequence: i) Integrated Deposits Account; ii) Current Account; iii) Statement Savings Account and; iv) Passbook Savings Account by November 2017 (for sign up between 1 July 2017 and 30 September 2017) or February 2018 (for sign up between 1 October 2017 and 31 December 2017). If client has more than one account under same account type, the Bank will select any one of the accounts for the crediting at its discretions with the latest opening date. Notification Letter will be mailed to Eligible New-to-Bank Client upon successfully crediting of Cash Rebate.
  3. Eligible New-to-Bank Client’s Easy Banking BonusPack must remain valid at the time when the Cash Rebate is credited or delivered to the client. Otherwise, the reward under the relevant Offer will be forfeited absolutely and not be provided to the client through any other means.
  4. If New-to-Bank Client terminates Easy Banking BonusPack within 12 months from the date of sign-up, the Bank reserves the right to charge the relevant client who has received the offer for the amount equivalent to the value of Cash Rebate or entitlement as administration fee and debit the same from any of the client’s accounts with the Bank without prior notice.

D. Terms and Conditions for Offer 2 – Salary BonusPack Offer
  1. Salary BonusPack Offer is subject to the relevant Terms and Conditions. For details of prevailing offers, please refer to the “Terms and Conditions for Salary BonusPack Offer” leaflet or contact any of the Bank’s staff.

E. Terms and Conditions for Offer 3 – Standard Chartered Credit Card Welcome Offer
  1. Standard Chartered Credit Card Welcome Offer is subject to the relevant Terms and Conditions. For details of prevailing offers, please refer to the “Important Information and Terms and Conditions for Application of Standard Chartered Credit Card” leaflet or contact any of the Bank’s staff.


F. Terms and Conditions for Integrated Deposits Account Cash Rebate Online Welcome Offer (the “Cash Rebate Offer”)
  1. The promotion period for the Cash Rebate Offer is from 1 July 2017 to 30 September 2017, both dates inclusive (the "Promotion Period").
  2. Clients who fulfill ALL of (i) – (vi) below within the Promotion Period maybe eligible for the Cash Rebate Offer ("Eligible Client"):
    1. Submit an Online Application Form for Integrated Deposits Account ("Online Application");
    2. Successfully open an Integrated Deposits Account ("IDA") at any branch of Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) Limited (the "Bank”) after Online Application submission;
    3. Successfully register as Standard Chartered Online Banking client;
    4. Successfully sign up for any Banking Plan (Priority Banking, Premium programme or Easy Banking);
    5. Do not hold any Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) Limited deposit account, including Savings Account(s), Current/ Cheque Account(s), Integrated Deposits Account(s) and Time Deposit Account(s), with the Bank in the past 12 months from the date of Online Application submission ("New Client"); and
    6. Hold a valid Hong Kong Permanent Identity Card
  3. The Cash Rebate Offer that Eligible Client is entitled to will be determined by the Banking Plan signed up by Eligible Client according to the following table during the Promotion Period. Subscription for corresponding Banking Plan and the newly opened IDA account must remain valid at the time when the offer is provided to the client. Otherwise, the relevant offer will be forfeited absolutely. Separate terms and conditions apply to Banking Plan. For details, please refer to relevant terms and conditions or contact any of the Bank’s staff at branches.
  4. Banking Plan signed up during Promotion Period Cash Rebate Entitled

  5. Eligible Client is entitled to the Cash Rebate Offer once only during the Promotion Period.
  6. The relevant amount of cash rebate will be credited into the HKD deposit account (exclude MortgageOne® Account and Mortgage $aver Current Account) under Eligible Client’s personal name as primary account holder with the Bank at the sole discretion of the Bank on or before 30 November 2017 in the following sequence:
    1. Sub-account under IDA;
    2. Current/ Cheque Account;
    3. Statement Savings Account;
    4. Passbook Savings Account

    If client does not have a valid HKD deposit account, the Bank will credit to Eligible Clients’ USD deposit account as above sequence (For joint name account, only if the Eligible Client is the Primary Account Holder can be entitled to the offer).

  1. If Eligible Client does not have a valid IDA / HKD or USD Savings Account / HKD or USD Current Account on the date when the cash rebate is credited, the relevant offer shall be forfeited absolutely and shall not be paid to the Eligible Client through any other means.
  2. In the event that Eligible Client is also entitled to other prevailing promotional offer(s) or deposit privilege(s), the Bank reserves the right to provide only one or some of the offer(s) and/or privilege(s) at its absolute discretion. For avoidance of doubt, client who is eligible for Integrated Deposits Account and Standard Chartered MARVEL ATM Card Online Welcome Offer or IDA Asia MilesTM Reward Online Welcome Offer will not be eligible for other deposit account Online Welcome Offers, including but not limited to IDA Cash Rebate Online Welcome Offer.
  3. The Bank reserves the right to vary, modify and terminate the above offer and to amend any of these terms and conditions at any time without any notice. In case of disputes, the decision of the Bank shall be final and binding.
  4. If there is any inconsistency or conflict between the English version and its Chinese translation, the English version shall prevail.
