Exclusive Liverpool FC soccer clinic with John Barnes

Standard Chartered Bank is pleased to invite you and your child aged 6-14 years to join the Liverpool FC soccer clinic 2016. The training is complimentary and will allow your child to gain invaluable insights from LFC Academy coaches. You will also get the opportunity to be up close and personal with LFC Legend John Barnes.

A fast, skilful left wing player, John Barnes played for Liverpool from 1987 to 1997 during which Barnes won the then top-flight First Division twice and the FA Cup twice. He also played for the England national team on 79 occasions. During his playing career Barnes was named the PFA Players' Player of the Year twice (in 1987–88 and 1989–90) and the Football Writers' Association Footballer of the Year once (in 1987–88). In 2005 he was inducted into the English Football Hall of Fame.

Complimentary shuttle bus services have been arranged for you between Harrow International School and three locations: (i) General Post Office at Central (near Central MTR Station Exit A); (ii) Kowloon Tong (near Kowloon Tong MTR Station Exit B/F); and (iii) Tsuen Wan (near Tsuen Wan MTR Station Exit E).

Pre – soccer clinic shuttle service: The shuttle departs at

  • Session 3 - 12:30pm

Post – soccer clinic shuttle service: The shuttle departs Harrow International School at

  • Session 1 - 6:00pm
  • Session 2 - 12:30pm
  • Session 3 - 5:30pm

(iii) Tsuen Wan, opposite Tsuen Wan Multi-storey Car Park Building (Sai Lau Kok Road)

No amendment can be made after the registration of pre and post spot(s) of transportation.


Parents are to ensure that children are fit and healthy to attend the soccer clinic.
Refreshment will be provided. Parents should make adequate arrangements for children with special dietary requirements or food allergies.

Each session of the soccer clinic is limited to 60 kids . Please register by 20 March 2016.

Terms and Conditions
  1. Selected Priority Banking clients of Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) Limited (the "Bank") who are the recipients of the document ("Recipient") can register together with his/her child aged between 6 and 14 for the Liverpool FC soccer clinic (the "Soccer Clinic"). Each Recipient can only register for ONE child. (Recipient and the child will collectively referred to as "Selected Client" herein below).
  2. Each Selected Client can only enroll in one session on either 16 April or 17 April 2016. No change of session is allowed upon registration.
  3. Selected Client must register and submit his/her relevant information specified on the designated online registration form embedded in this webpage on or before 20 March 2016. Selected Client should ensure the information provided in the designated online registration form is correct. Incorrect information may affect Selected Client's eligibility for the Soccer Clinic. Selected Client will be deemed to authorise the Bank to use his/her contact information according to the Bank’s records in relation to the matter of this Soccer Clinic. The Bank reserves no liabilities for any loss incurred by Selected Client should the Selected Client provide incorrect or invalid information. By submitting the application, Selected Client agrees to observe and accept all the terms and conditions of the Soccer Clinic.
  4. Each Selected Client should register once only.
  5. In the event of oversubscription to registration, the finalists will be randomly drawn by computer.
  6. The selected finalists ("Eligible Client") will receive confirmation by email according to their email address records with the Bank on or before 31 March 2016.
  7. Unsuccessful registration will be notified by email on or before 8 April 2016.
  8. No parking is available for the event. Complimentary round trip shuttle bus service between designated locations will be provided to the Eligible Client by the Bank. No change of pick-up location can be made once chosen upon registration. For details, the Eligible Client may refer to the email.
  9. Light refreshments will be provided to the Eligible Client during the Soccer Clinic.
  10. Clients understand and accept that the Bank is not the supplier of the shuttle bus service/light refreshments during the Soccer Clinic. The Bank shall have no liability relating to any aspect of such services, including without limitation, their quality, the supply, the description of products and/or services provided by suppliers, any trade description, representation, statement, practices or conduct in connection with such services or in making available the services, by the suppliers, their employees, officers or agents.
  11. The Bank and/or any other member of the Standard Chartered PLC group (the "Group") may engage photographers for the event, and the Eligible Client’s attendance will be taken as confirmation that the Eligible Client has agreed to grant the Bank and/or Group the right and permission to take, use, re-use, publish, and republish photographic portraits or pictures of the Eligible Client or in which the Eligible Client may be included. The Bank and/or Group shall own all intellectual property rights subsisting in the photographs. Any personal data collected from the indemnity form is for registration for the Soccer Clinic only.
  12. The Eligible Client’s attendance to the Soccer Clinic will be taken as a confirmation that the Eligible Client agrees and confirms the Bank and/or Group including all the relevant staff, officers, agents and/or members of these organisations, shall not be liable for any deaths, injuries or losses of properties arising from this activity. The Eligible Client should agree to abide by the rules and regulations of this Soccer Clinic that have been set out, and indemnify and hold harmless the Bank and/or Group against any and all liability, loss, claim, damage or costs of any kind (including legal costs) suffered by the Bank and/or Group caused by the Eligible Clients.
  13. The Eligible Client must ensure that they are medically and physically fit to participate in the Soccer Clinic.
  14. Medical and other insurance are not included and the Eligible Client is advised to take out insurance cover for all appropriate risks at the Soccer Clinic.
  15. All participants in the Soccer Clinic participate at their own risks. Each participant will be required to sign an Indemnity and Model Release Form before taking part in the Soccer Clinic.
  16. The Bank may, in its sole discretion, disqualify any participant to the Soccer Clinic at its sole discretion or which the Bank considers has breached these Terms and Conditions. This includes, but is not limited to, any breach of the applicable laws and regulations by the participants.
  17. Participation in the Soccer Clinic is not transferable.
  18. If Black Rainstorm Warning or Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8/Pre Signal No. 8 or above is hoisted by the Hong Kong Observatory before 06:00 am, the Soccer Clinic will be cancelled.
  19. The Bank reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, alter, suspend and/or terminate the Soccer Clinic or its relevant arrangement and amend these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. All matters or disputes will be subject to the decision of the Bank, which shall be final and binding.
  20. Should there be any discrepancy between the English and Chinese versions, the English version shall prevail. In case of disputes, the decision of the Bank shall be final and binding.
  21. If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is wholly or partially void or unenforceable, it shall be deemed severed to the extent that it is void or unenforceable. In such circumstances, the validity or enforceability of the remainder of these Terms and Conditions shall not be affected.
  22. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of Hong Kong SAR.
