FAQ (applicable to individual clients)

  • You will need a valid Standard Chartered Current or Savings account to register for FPS before using SC Pay (FPS), Scan & Pay, FPS payment via merchant app. Hence clients only with Standard Chartered credit card are not eligible for the lucky draw.

  • The 10 lucky draw chances for new FPS registration are only applicable to clients who do not have any FPS registration of mobile number, email address or HKID number with the Bank as of 23 September 2023.

  • The lucky draw result will be announced on “Important Information” of Standard Chartered home page on or before 30 November 2023. Winners will also be notified via Push Notification in SC Mobile App or SMS.

Terms and Conditions

Remarks

  1. Applicable to clients who do not hold any FPS registration(s) with Standard Chartered Bank as of 23 September 2023.
  2. The FPS registration and/or default receiving bank setting must be maintained until the date as defined in the terms and conditions.
  3. The transfer recipient must be a third party in order to be eligible.
  4. SC Pay (FPS), Scan & Pay and FPS Payment via Merchant App are only applicable to payees who have registered for FPS service. Your payment is also subject to the daily limit for Non-registered Payee Transfer.
  5. You will need a valid Standard Chartered Current or Savings Account to register for FPS.
  6. You may transfer through SC Pay (FPS), Scan & Pay and FPS Payment via Merchant App on SC Mobile App using Standard Chartered Current or Savings Account. Standard Chartered Credit Card (except UnionPay Dual Currency Platinum Credit Card) only supports SC Pay (FPS) transfers on SC Mobile App in HKD.
  7. Any transfer by credit card is subject to your available credit card limit and the daily limit for Non-registered Payee Transfer. For details, please refer to here.
  8. Asia Miles/ 360° Rewards Points/ Cash Rebate or any other credit card reward campaign and chargeback right/ protection is not applicable to SC Pay (FPS) transactions on SC Mobile App by credit card.
  9. Over-limit electronic fund transfer handling fee may apply, if the total accumulated transfer amount exceeds the limit. For details, please refer to here.
  10. Only applicable to the Business Banking clients who register for an FPS ID via Straight2Bank NextGen from 24th September 2023 to 15th October 2023.
  11. Our calculations and records shall be conclusive with respect to Instant Bank Fund Transfer (Faster Payment System) to the third-party bank account.
  12. Fees are applicable to Instant Bank Fund Transfers to a 3rd party bank account via FPS by Business Banking clients. For details, please refer to the Bank’s Service Charges booklet.
