Remarks for Referrer

  1. The promotion period is from 1 July 2018 to 30 September 2018, both dates inclusive (“Promotion Period“).
  2. To be eligible to participate in an Online Referral Program, a referrer must be an existing client of the Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) Limited (the “Bank”) (the “Referrer”). (i) Business Banking clients, (ii) Private Bank clients (iii) clients who are solely holding Standard Chartered Business Card and/or Standard Chartered Corporate Card, and/or (iv) designated frontline staff of the Bank, are not eligible as a “Referrer” under this Online Referral Program.
  3. To be eligible to participate in the Online Referral Program, (a) (i) a referee who participates in Priority Banking Online Member-Get-Member Referral Program and Premium Online Member-Get-Member Referral Program must NOT hold any product or service with or distributed by the Bank (including but not limited to deposit account, investment services and insurance products underwritten by third party insurer) in the past 12 months from the date of New Service (as defined in Clause 4 below) sign up except Standard Chartered Credit Cards(as defined in Clause 4 below); and (ii) a referee who participates in Credit Card Online Member-Get-Member Referral Program must not currently hold, or must not have cancelled Standard Chartered Credit Card, except supplementary cards, Standard Chartered Business Card and Standard Chartered Corporate Card in the past 6 months from the date of approval of the Designated Credit Cards (as defined in Clause 4 below)(“New Cardholder“) (the “Referee” ), and (b) the Referee must be the Primary Account Holder either in sole name or joint name of the New Service(s) that is/are applied. For the avoidance of doubt, the requirement in this Clause 3 does not apply to the Salary BonusPack Online Member-Get-Member Referral Program.
  4. “New Service(s)” refers to Priority Banking, Premium programme, Salary BonusPack or Standard Chartered Platinum Credit Card AND Standard Chartered UnionPay Dual Currency Platinum Credit Card (each a “New Service“, collectively “New Services“). Standard Chartered Credit Cards refer to Standard Chartered Credit Card or MANHATTAN Credit Card issued by the Bank, including supplementary cards, Standard Chartered Business Card and Standard Chartered Corporate Card (“Standard Chartered Credit Cards“). Standard Chartered Platinum Credit Card and Standard Chartered UnionPay Dual Currency Platinum Credit Card will be defined as Designated Credit Cards (“Designated Credit Cards“) herein below.
  5. To enjoy the Referral Offer (as defined in Clause 7 below), Referrer must make a successful referral of Referee to sign up for the New Service(s) during the Promotion Period and  ALL the following requirements must be fulfilled (“Successful Referral”):
    1. Referrer must complete the Online Member-Get-Member Referral Registration Form (the “Online Registration Form”) at sc.com/hk during the Promotion Period prior to the Referee signs up for New Service(s) (unless otherwise specified). Upon successful submission of the Online Registration Form, Referrer will receive an email with a hyperlink and a Referral Number relating to the Online Referral Program. Referrer must forward that email and the Referral Number to Referee.
    2. Referrer continues to be an existing client of the Bank, and maintain valid deposit / credit card account at the time when the Referral Offer is credited to the relevant account as specified below, otherwise, the Bank has the right to forfeit the Referral Offer without prior notice.
    3. Referee must successfully complete the Online Application Form (the “Online Application Form”) for one or more of the New Service(s) the Referee wishes to apply through designated web page as stated in the email or via the hyperlink in the email received and forwarded by Referrer, and input the Referral Number at the time of submission of the Online Application Form during the Promotion Period.
    4. Other than Designated Credit Cards online application, Referee who applies for designated banking services, including Priority Banking, Premium programme and /or Salary BonusPack, upon successful submission of the Online Application Form, he/she will be required to bring all the required documents specified on the Online Application Form with the Referral Number, to any of the Bank’s branches within 14 days to complete the account opening process.
  6. If Referrer chooses Asia MilesTM as Referral Offer, Referrer must have successfully registered online during the period from 1 July 2018 to 31 October 2018, both dates inclusive (“Registration Period”) with valid Asia MilesTM membership in the name of the Referrer at the Bank’s website at sc.com/hk/AM to enjoy the relevant Asia Miles. For the avoidance of doubt, valid Asia Miles membership account must be held by Referrer and the Bank does not accept any Asia Miles membership accounts that are not held by Referrer for the purpose of crediting of Asia Miles. Successful registration cannot be cancelled or modified. For Referrer for Online Referral Program who has made multiple online registration submissions, only the latest registration record will be taken by the Bank for miles crediting purpose.
  7. Under Priority Banking Online Member-Get-Member Referral Program, Premium Online Member-Get-Member Referral Program, Salary BonusPack Online Member-Get-Member Referral Program and Credit Card Online Member-Get-Member Referral Program, offer under which an eligible Referrer will be entitled to upon fulfilment of respective requirements are referred collectively as Referral Offer (“Referral Offer“). Each Referrer for each Online Referral Program will only be entitled to the Referrer Offer (in the form of Asia Miles or cash rebate) for a maximum of 10 times only during the Promotion Period even if the total number of Successful Referrals made under each Online Referral Program during the Promotion Period is more than 10.
  8. Referrer who participates in Priority Banking Online Member-Get-Member Referral Program, Premium Online Member-Get-Member Referral Program and/or Salary BonusPack Online Member-Get-Member Referral Program may choose either Asia Miles or cash rebate as Referral Offer.  The number of Asia Miles or cash rebate that Referrer may be entitled to is specified in the terms and conditions of the Online Referral Programs respectively.
  9. Please note that once Referrer has registered for Asia Miles Rewards, Referrer will be regarded as having chosen Asia Miles as Referral Offer(s) if Referrer is entitled to any under the Priority Banking Online Member-Get-Member Referral Program, Premium Online Member-Get-Member Referral Program and/or Salary BonusPack Online Member-Get-Member Referral Program. The Bank will offer the relevant rewards, if any, to Referrer in the form of Asia Miles under the Priority Banking Online Member-Get-Member Referral Program, Premium Online Member-Get-Member Referral Program and/or Salary BonusPack Online Member-Get-Member Referral Program.
  10. Referrers cannot refer themselves as new clients. Referrers and Referees cannot refer each other to sign up any of New Services. To be eligible for the Referral Offer, the Referee who has been successfully referred by one Referrer cannot be repeatedly referred by the same Referrer or other Referrer(s).
  11. By submitting the Online Registration Form, clients agree that the Online Referral Program invitation email and SMS message will be sent to clients and we may use clients’ information provided here to contact clients for this particular program.
