Terms and Conditions

General terms & conditions:

  1. All permanent full-time staff of Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) Limited (the "Bank") are eligible for these offers.
  2. The Offers are valid from now until further notice.
  3. The Bank reserves the right to vary, modify or terminate any privileges, and to amend any of the staff privilege terms and conditions ("Staff Terms and Conditions"), at any time. In case of disputes, the decision of the Bank shall be final and conclusive.
  4. If a staff member maintains a Joint-Name Account, that staff member must be the Primary holder of the relevant Joint-Name Account to take up the Offer.
  5. The terms and conditions of the products or services in connection with these staff privilege offers are set out in the product terms and conditions and/or the relevant banking agreement. In case of any discrepancy between the banking agreement and the Staff Terms and Conditions, the latter shall prevail.
  6. Staff members must comply with the prevailing Group and Hong Kong Personal Account Dealing Policy and Procedures at all times. Where pre-deal clearance for trade is required, staff members must strictly follow the procedures for obtaining pre-deal clearance before trading.
Terms and Conditions of Investment Funds Subscription and Switching Fees Offer:

  1. The online subscription and switching fees for any eligible investment fund transaction will be 0%. If transaction is processed at branch, the subscription fee and switching fee is 1%.
  2. The Offer is applicable ONLY to Class A fund subscriptions and switching; Class B fund subscriptions and switching which do not incur subscription or switching fees and UT Monthly Investment Plan are NOT eligible under this Offer.
  3. For details of Class A funds and Class B funds, please contact your branch staff.
  4. For other charges levied by the fund, please refer to related offering document for details.
Terms and Conditions of the HK$0 Securities Brokerage Fee for All Buy Trades through Online Banking and Breeze Trade:

  1. A brokerage fee will first be charged at the Bank's standard rate for staff members (0.15% as at 1 February 2015, subject to change) and debited from the staff's settlement account according to normal practice.
  2. The relevant brokerage fee will be refunded and credited to the staff's settlement account in the form of a cash rebate. All of a staff member's "buy-trade" transactions executed during the quarter are eligible for the cash rebate, which will be refunded on or before the final day of the next quarter (i.e. ending March, June, September and December) during the Brokerage Fee Waiver Period. A staff member must maintain staff status at the end of each fulfilment date, on a quarterly basis. The Offer will no longer be valid once he/she resigns.
  3. The Offer is applicable to all securities BUY transactions submitted through Online Banking and Breeze Trade during the Brokerage Fee Waiver Period, in relation to stocks listed on the Main Board or on the Growth Enterprise Market of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited only. SELL transactions are NOT eligible for the Offer.
  4. Eligible staff members must still pay any relevant transaction fees payable to third parties, if applicable. Such transaction fees may include, but are not limited to, Stamp Duty levied by the Hong Kong Government, Transaction Levy levied by the Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong, Trading Fee levied by Hong Kong Exchange & Clearing Limited, and Stock Settlement Fee levied by Hong Kong Securities & Clearing Company Limited.
  5. The relevant securities accounts and settlement accounts of eligible staff must remain valid throughout the Brokerage Fee Waiver Period.
Terms and Conditions of Bond Offer:

  1. The Offer is only applicable to Bonds secondary market buy/sell transactions. Retail IPO Bonds and Structured Notes are not eligible under the offer.
  2. The handling fee for any eligible bond transaction will be 0.2% of the face value of the bond.
Terms and Conditions of AUM Transfer-In Offer:

  1. Investment Funds refer to funds in open-ended funds or capital guaranteed funds distributed by the Bank, excluding Class B fund, funds not authorized by the Securities and Futures Commission in Hong Kong and funds specified by the Bank from time to time.
  2. The designated Investment Funds transferred-in to the Bank have to be registered and held in the name of Standard Chartered Nominees (Western Samoa) Limited or Horsford Nominees Limited.
  3. For Stock transfer-in, the stock must be listed on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited.
  4. Bonds transfer-in is subject to the Bank's approval.
  5. Acceptance of the transfer-in of designated investment product(s) subject to the discretion of the Bank. In case of disputes regarding the terms and conditions, the decision of the Bank shall be final and binding.
  6. The Bank does not guarantee that the application(s) for transfer-in of designated Investment Product(s) will be successful.
