Powering sustainable energy revolution in Indonesia
Solar power is one of the most affordable and sustainable energy sources around the world. Standard Chartered is proud to be able to participate in financing projects such as the 145 MWac Cirata Floating Solar Power Plant (PLTS) in West Java, Indonesia. Once completed, the power plant will generate enough electrical energy to power 50,000 homes and emit 214,000 tons of CO2. This floating solar power plant is planned to be the largest in Southeast Asia, and will be a step forward for Indonesia to achieve its target of 23% sustainable energy mix by 2025.
