    • What is Business Working Capital?
      Business Working Capital (BWC) is an array of trade and lending products, which is specifically designed to match the client’s business cycle. Trade and Working Capital products are short term in nature i.e. less than 12 months in tenor, and add to the existing Business Clients product suite of long term loans (BIL upto 3 years, LAP upto 15 years)
    • What is the benefit to the client to avail BWC facility from Standard Chartered?
      BWC would be sourced under a simplified rule-based underwriting approach, with ease of documentary requirements, and a simplified annual renewal process. Limits upto INR 12cr can be availed under this program amongst a gamut of Trade Finance product offerings, alongwith a dedicated Relationship Manager
    • Which entities can apply for a BWC facility?
      Customers with turnover upto INR 60 cr
      • Self-employed individuals and professionals.
      • Sole proprietors/proprietorship firms.
      • Partnership firms.
      • Private-limited companies.
    • Which products would be offered under BWC?
      We are offering 3 categories of products under BWC at present,
      • Lending Products:
        • Overdraft
        • Short Term Loan
      • Trade Products:
        • Letter of Credit
        • Invoice Financing
        • Shipping Guarantee
        • Bank Guarantee
      • Foreign Exchange Hedging:
        • Plain FX Forward
    • What is the maximum ticket size and tenure for BWC offerings.
      Maximum limit we can offer is INR 12 cr for Trade and Lending products, subject to client and security eligibility. For FX, the limit applicable stands at INR 3cr.

      Products Tenor:
      Working Capital Overdraft – 1 year
      Short Term Loan (STL) – 180 days
      Trade Products:
      Letter of Credit and Trust Receipt (LC/TR) – 180 days
      CBN (Discrepant) – 180 days
      Invoice Financing – 180 days
      Bank Guarantee / Performance Bond – 5 years for cash secured, otherwise 1 year.
      Shipping Guarantee – 180 days
      Plain FX Forwards – 180 days
    • What will be the pricing for BWC products

    • What is the property eligibility under BWC?
      Residential and Commercial Properties
    • Is there an Operating Account (OPAC) requirement for the BWC Client?
      Yes, it is very important that client maintains an Operating Account (OPAC) with us. The following are some key points regarding OPAC.
      • Client has to maintain at least 50% of the Limits (Cat 1 limit) every quarter
      • Flows will be calculated every January, April, July and October (assessment period)
      • OPAC performance will be measured post 6 months of limit set up
      • If client fails to maintain OPAC for three consecutive assessment periods, pricing will be increased and the limit may be reduced/dropped
