Bill Pay Standing Instruction: Cashback Offer & Other Terms

1. Definitions

  • Bank: Standard Chartered Bank in India.
  • Offer: 10% cash back (up to Rs 100 per month) for utility bills paid through Auto Bill Pay/Standing Instruction registered during Offer Period on SCB credit/ CASA accounts.
  • Offer Period: From 1 January 2020 to 31 March 2020.
  • Eligible Biller Categories: Electricity, Gas, Telecom.
  • Qualified Customer: The offer is applicable to SCB credit card/CASA customers setting up a Auto Pay/ Standing Instruction for utility bill payments for Eligible Biller Categories during the Offer Period on Standarad Chartered bill payments platform powered by BillDesk.
  • Non Eligibility: Payment made for any other biller category apart from Electricity, Gas, Telecom and using any otherchannel/payment mode apart from Standing Instruction on credit card/ CASA accounts will not be eligible for this Offer.

2. Offer Details

  • The Offer Period shall commence from 00:01 hours on 01 January 2020 and shall extend up to 11:59 hours on 31 March 2020.
  • Offer applicable for utility bills paid from SCB credit/CASA accounts using “Auto Pay” or “Standing Instruction” option registered during Offer Period.
  • Offer applicable on first time registration on Standard Chartered Bill payments platform powered by BillDesk. Existing/old bill registered on Standard Chartered online and mobile banking are not eligible for this offer.
  • Maximum cash back will be INR 100 per month per customer up to 6 months after first registration within the offer period.
  • Utility bill payment categories covered: Electricity, Gas and Telecom.
  • Cash back will be received in your credit card/CASA accounts within 60 days after end of each month.
  • The duration of 6 months will be considered from the date of first bill registration.

3. How to avail the offer

A. Existing credit/debit card customers:

  • GO to SCB India website (www.sc.com/in) and click on login or download SC Mobile from Playstore or Appstore.
  • Login or sign up to online banking or mobile banking.
  • Select Bill Payments under Payments.
  • Click on ” Add Biller” on Bill Payments page powered by BillDesk.
  • Setup Auto Pay Instruction by submitting bill details and payment instructions.
  • The utility bills will be paid from your credit card/CASA account automatically from the next billing cycle.
  • Cash back will be received in your credit card/CASA account within 60 after end of each month.

B. New credit card customers:

  • Fill in the Auto Bill Pay form along with credit/CASA accounts application.
  • Provide complete biller details for Electricity, Gas, Telecom category.
  • Attach latest bill copy for verification.
  • Auto Pay/Standing Instruction will be setup once your credit card application is approved.
  • The utility bills will be paid from your credit card automatically from the next billing cycle.

4. Communication of the Offer

  • The Offer will be communicated to existing customers through EDM and/or SMS on their registered email address.
  • The Offer will be communicated to new credit card customers by frontline team at the time of credit card application sourcing.

5. General Terms and Conditions

  • This is an exclusive Offer provided by Standard Chartered Bank. All details regarding the Offer are available on the Bank’s website (www.sc.com/in).
  • The Bank reserves the right to modify/change all or any of the terms applicable to this Offer. The Bank also reserves the right to modify, withdraw or discontinue the Offer without assigning any reasons whatsoever. Neither anything contained in these terms and
    conditions, nor shall running this Offer be construed as an obligation on the Bank to continue the Offer up to the termination/expiry date.
  • Participation in this Offer is entirely voluntary and it is agreed and understood by the Participants that participation shall be deemed to have been made on a voluntary basis. The Offer is non-transferable.
  • The Offer shall not be available wherever it is prohibited under law and/or cannot be made for any reason whatsoever.
  • All disputes under this Offer are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts/tribunals of Mumbai.
  • The Bank shall not be obliged to make any public announcements of the results of the Offer. The Qualified Customers shall be intimated by the Bank through Email or SMS only.
  • In all matters relating to this Offer, the decision of the Bank shall be final and binding. By participating in the Offer, the Participants agree to be bound by the terms and conditions contained herein.
  • Any tax or other liabilities or charges payable to the government or any other statutory authority/body or any participating establishment, which may arise or accrue to the client due to provision of the offer, shall be to the sole account of the client.
  • If the qualified customer deactivates his SCB credit/debit card within 60 days after the beginning of Offer Period, the customer will be disqualified for cash back.
