Spends Campaign – Terms and Conditions

1. Definition

  • Bank: Standard Chartered Bank in India.
  • Client: Savings account holder with bank and have received the offer communication either through SMS or Email are eligible for the offer.
  • Offer: First 2000 (Two Thousand) Clients of the Bank registering for participating in the campaign and performing at least four or more different transactions across two categories during the Offer Period, will be eligible for Amazon e-voucher as described in point 3 below.
  • Offer Period: Period commencing from 00:01 hours on 1stJune 2020 and shall extend up to 11:59 hours on 30th June 2020.
  • Transactions: Means the following new set up done by the Client on the savings account during the Offer Period:
    • Bill pay —Client to set up any recurring bill payment for either mobile bills, DTH bills, gas bills or payment of other utility bills on Bank saving account using the BBPS option through the Banks net banking or mobile banking platform. Minimum value of the recurring debit payment should be INR 500/- (Rupees Five Hundred only) per Bill pay transaction to qualify;
    •  UPI merchant transactions – Client to make payment for a purchase at a merchant using the Bank issued UPI ID (ex. Name@scb). To register this ID, the Client can login to the Banks mobile banking platform i.e SC Mobile and visit BHIM UPI section.. Person to person fund transfer using UPI will not be considered as a Transaction for the purpose of this Offer. Minimum value of UPI merchant debit transaction should be INR 100/- (Rupees One Hundred only) or more to qualify;
    • Recurring deposit set up – Client to create one or more new recurring deposits through the Banks online/ mobile banking platform. Minimum amount of recurring deposit monthly should be INR 2,000/- (Rupees Two Thousand only) or more with a tenor of at least 12 months;
    • Term deposit set up – Client to create one or more new Term deposits through the Banks online/ mobile banking platform. Minimum amount of Term deposit should be INR 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) or more;
    •  Standing Instruction set up- Client to set up a standing instruction (a) online, through the standard chartered online/ mobile banking platform for payment of credit card bills, or (b), through standard chartered bank online/mobile banking platform or offline for home loan and/or personal loan. Minimum amount of standing instruction debit should be INR 2,000/- (Rupees Two Thousand only) or more; or
  • Void Transactions –
    • means any Transaction which is either unsuccessful or cancelled/rejected by the Bank; and/or.
    • Transactions which are followed up with partial or full reversals.
    • Transactions that are cancelled by the Client.
  • Registration – A Client receiving the Offer communication through SMS/Email, must register by :
    • Sending a SMS SCBTXN to 9987123123 from their registered mobile number; or
    • Clicking on the URL/link given in the emailer sent by the Bank.

2. Offer Terms

  • A Client must Register for participating in the campaign and perform at least four or more different Transactions during the Offer Period to be eligible to receive the Amazon e-voucher.
  • Void Transactions shall not qualify for the Offer.
  • Transactions set up during the Offer Period shall only qualify for the Offer.
  • Client will have to do atleast four Transactions during the Offer Period across 2 unique Transaction types within the available transaction types as called out in the transaction definition section. For the purpose of illustration: (1) 2 UPI merchant transactions and 2 Bill Pay transactions or (2) 1 Recurring Deposit and 3 UPI merchant transactions.
  • In case of a payment for utility bills, it will only be considered once – either under BBPS or SI category depending on the nature of transaction.

3. Reward

  • A Client satisfying the Offer Terms shall be eligible to receive an Amazon e-voucher worth Rs. 250/- (Rupees Two Hundred and Fifty only).

4. Offer Fulfilment

  • Offer will be fulfilled by 30th August 2020. The Bank will send the Amazon e-voucher on the registered mobile number or to the registered email address of the clients meeting the Offer Terms.  Amazon e-voucher terms shall apply for redemption of the e-voucher.

5. General Terms and Conditions:

  • The Bank reserves the right to modify/change all or any of the terms applicable to this Offer. The Bank also reserves the right to modify, withdraw or discontinue the Offer without assigning any reasons whatsoever. Neither anything contained in these terms and conditions, nor shall running this Offer be construed as an obligation on the Bank to continue the Offer during the Offer Period.
  • The Bank reserves the right to replace the Reward with another item of similar or equivalent value.
  • The Bank reserves the right to determine at its sole and absolute discretion all matters arising out of or in connection with the Offer, including eligibility. The Bank’s determination of all matters relating to this Offer shall be final and conclusive and no correspondence will be entertained.
  • Participation in this Offer is entirely voluntary and it is agreed and understood by the participants that participation shall be deemed to have been made on a voluntary basis.
  • The Offer is non-transferable and cannot be replaced for cash.
  • A Client is only eligible for one Amazon e-voucher, irrespective of the number of accounts a Client has with the Bank.
  • The Offer shall not be available wherever it is prohibited under law and/or cannot be made for any reason whatsoever.
  • All disputes under this offer are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts/tribunals of Mumbai.
  • In the event of any inconsistency between these Offer T&Cs and any brochures, marketing or promotional materials relating to the Offer, these Offer T&Cs shall prevail to the extent of such inconsistency.
  • The Bank shall not be obliged to make any public announcements of the results of the Offer. In all matters relating to this Offer, the decision of the Bank shall be final and binding.
