How to register

While registering, all you need to provide is:
  • Standard Chartered debt card expiry date
  • 4-digit ATM PIN
  • CVV (the 3-digit number on the reverse of your card)
Once you have entered these details, you will be asked to enter the following:
  • Password (of your choice)
  • Confirm password
  • Personal Assurance Message

(This Personal Assurance Message will be displayed each time you transact on a Verified By Visa merchant site. The merchant site is authentic only if your Personal Assurance Message is displayed)

You can also register for Verified By Visa while shopping online at any ‘Verified by Visa’ enabled merchant website. Again, you will need to provide the details mentioned above.

FAQs

    • How does Verified By Visa work?
      Once your card is activated with the Verified By Visa service, your card number will be recognised whenever you make an electronic payment. After you provide your debit card details online, you will be redirected to your issuer website and be required to provide your Verified By Visa authentication details. Your identity will be verified, and the transaction will be completed. Based on the authentication provided by your issuer, the transaction will be processed and you will receive a confirmation.
    • Do I have to register for all my cards separately?
      Registration needs to be done for all cards individually.
    • After I register, how long does it take for Verified By Visa to become active for my card?
      The functionality of Verified By Visa is made available as soon as your registration is successful. You can use your password to login to any Verified By Visa enabled online site to carry out transactions.
    • If I am issued a new card is there a need for Verified By Visa registration?
      Yes. You will need to register your new card separately.
    • Where can I find the CVV?
      The CVV is printed on the reverse of the card, on the signature panel
    • Will I be charged for Verified by Visa?
      No. This service is free of charge.
