Harriet Ann Omobolanle (aka Bola) Adesola
Bola Adesola is currently the Senior Vice-Chairman for the African region at Standard Chartered as well as the Co-Vice Chairman of the United Nations Global Compact Board. Prior to joining Standard Chartered, Bola was Executive Director, Corporate Banking in First Bank of Nigeria Plc, Nigeria’s biggest bank, and she also had oversight of the retail and commercial banking business in Lagos. Previously, she was CEO of Kakawa Discount House, Nigeria, a securities trading company where she drove record business performance. Bola also worked in Citibank for nine years in senior leadership roles in Nigeria and Tanzania. Called to the Nigerian Bar in 1985, she has over 30 years of banking experience. An alumnus of Harvard Business School and Lagos Business School, Bola also holds a Law degree from the University of Buckingham, UK and is a qualified Barrister-at-Law.
Appointed to the Board on 16th February 2014. Richard Etemesi is currently the Chief Executive Officer South Africa & Area General Manager for Southern Africa at Standard Chartered Bank. Richard has 21 years banking experience with Standard Chartered Bank Group in various capacities and different locations. He was Chief Executive Officer SCB Kenya in November 2006 and Area General Manager East Africa in November 2007.

Yuvraj Thacoor is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, a member of the British Institute of Management (MBIM) and an associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (ACiArb). He holds an Auditor’s license issued by the Financial Reporting Council and is a member of the Mauritius Institute of Professional Accountants alongside being a licensed Insolvency Practitioner. Yuvraj is the Managing Director of Quantuma Mauritius and Thacoor Advisory Services Ltd following his retirement from Grant Thornton where he served as Managing Partner from October 1999 to July 2016. Prior to that, he was an audit partner at PwC Mauritius. In his last two years at Grant Thornton, Yuvraj served as Regional Head - Member Firm Development Team for Grant Thornton International in Africa. Yuvraj is also the Chairman of the Audit Committee.
Appointed on the Board on 01 December 2015, Mathieu Mandeng is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Standard Chartered Bank Mauritius Ltd. Prior to his appointment in Mauritius, Mathieu was CEO Standard Chartered Cameroon since 2007. Over and above his fifteen years’ experience in banking, Mathieu worked for 10 years in the mining and metal industry in France. Mathieu holds an MSC in Finance and Management Control from the University of Orleans and an MBA in Enterprise Management from the University of Bordeaux (France), and is an alumnus of the Said Business School of Oxford UK.
Appointed to the Board on 16th February 2014. He is the Chief Financial Officer of Standard Chartered Bank Mauritius Limited. He has more than 18 years of experience in finance, auditing, banking and investment. Prior to joining the Bank, he spent nine years in the financial services sector, as CFO of investment Professionals Limited and Bank One Limited.
