Terms and Conditions
  • The Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia Berhad (“SCB”) Digital Campaign (“Campaign”) will run from 1 August 2016 until 31 December 2016, inclusive of both dates (“Campaign Period”).
  • By participating in this Campaign, participants agree to be bound by all the terms and conditions below.


  • This Campaign is open to SCB customers over the age of 21 who:
  1. are new customers who sign-up for iBanking and Breeze Account in their name alone with the Bank during the Campaign Period; and
  2. are existing customer who are new sign-up for iBanking and Breeze Account in their name alone with the Bank during the Campaign Period; and
  3. actively maintain their iBanking and Breeze accounts with the Bank, without any breach of the terms and conditions or any of SCB’s Banking agreements, throughout the Campaign Period, [“Eligible Customers”].


  • For the purpose of this Campaign
  1. ‘New Customers’ mean customers who do not have existing IBanking or Breeze account with the Bank prior to the start of the Campaign Period
  2. ‘Existing Customers’ mean existing customers of the Bank but do not have iBanking or Breeze account prior to the start of the Campaign Period
  3. ‘Campaign Month’ refers to either August, September, October, November or Disember 2016


  • In order to participate in the Campaign, Eligible Participants must fulfil the following requirements during the Campaign Period.
  1. Sign-up iBanking and/or Breeze as described in the Digital Campaign terms and conditions; and
  2. Digitally active throughout the Campaign Period.


  • Eligible Customers who fulfill the requirements in Clause 4 above will receive a pair of e-Movie vouchers.
  • There are 1200 Eligible Customers monthly who will be entitled to receive the Gift throughout the campaign period.
  • Eligible Customers will receive their e-Movie vouchers via SMS at the end of the following month of the successful sign-up.
  • If a customer signs up for both iBanking and Breeze Account during the Campaign Period, the e-Movie vouchers will only be awarded for the first account opened.

Grand Prize

  • The monthly 1200 Eligible Customers will stand a chance to win an iPhone 6s Plus 16GB as a monthly grand prize.
  • The winners of the monthly iPhone 6s Plus 16GB will be contacted by SCB at the end of the campaign period.

Gift/Prize Redemption Criteria

  • Customers whose iBanking or Breeze Accounts are suspended, cancelled or terminated for any reason during the Campaign Period or within 1 month after the Campaign Period ends will not be entitled to receive e-Movie vouchers nor stand a chance to win the iPhone 6s Plus 16GB under this Campaign.
  • The Gifts/Grand Prize cannot be transferred, nor can they be exchanged for any other item.
  • The winners are advised to examine his/her Gift/Prize upon receipt. SCB makes no representation or warranty regarding the quality or suitability of the Gift/Prize. Any dispute or complaint about the Gift/Prize must be resolved directly with the supplier. SCB will not be responsible for any injury, loss or damage resulting from using the Gift/Prize.
  • SCB may change or substitute the gifts with other items of similar value if any of the Gift/Prize becomes unavailable or is recalled or discontinued by its manufacturer or distributor.
  • SCB will not entertain any request or claim for the exchange of the Gift/Prize based before or after the redemption of the gift or any reason whatsoever.

Winner Selection

  • Monthly Gift Winner
  1. There are in total one thousand and two hundred [1200] gift winners per month [‘Monthly Gift Winner’], with a total of six thousand [6,000] winner throughout the Campaign Period
  2. The Monthly Gift Winners will receive a pair of e-Movie voucher worth RM25 each, in which the choice of the e-Movie voucher will be decided by SCB at its sole discretion.
  3. Monthly Gift winner will be chosen one [1] month after the end of the campaign month. For example, Monthly Gift winner for August 2016 will be chosen in September 2016.
  4. Monthly Gift winner will be chosen by system using a ‘timestamp’ after the end of the campaign month.
  5. Each Monthly winner will be entitled to only win a pair of e-Movie voucher during the campaign period.
  6. The e-Movie voucher will be sent by SMS to Monthly Gift Winner’s registered mobile number with the bank
  7. Monthly Gift Winner are able to redeem the e-Movie voucher at any TGV Cinemas throughout Malaysia
  8. The e-Movie voucher is valid 60 days from the SMS date
  9. The e-Movie voucher is transferable via SMS
  • Monthly Grand Prize Winner
  1. There are in total of five [5] Grand Prize Winner for this Campaign
  2. There will be one [1] monthly Grand Prize winner and each Grand Prize Winner will receive an iPhone 6s Plus 16GB
  3. Monthly Grand Prize Winner will be chosen from the one thousand two hundred [1200] eligible Monthly Prize Winners
  4. Monthly Grand Prize Winner will be chosen one [1] month after the campaign end
  5. SCB will call the winner at his/her latest telephone number in SCB’s record, within 90 working days from the end of the Campaign Period. If a chosen Grand Prize Winners cannot be contacted after three [3] attempts, a new chosen Winner will be selected and the calling process will be repeated.
  6. The Grand Prize will be couriered to Monthly Grand Prize Winner via Standard Chartered appointed agent.


  • If there are a total of 1500 customers signing up for iBanking and/or Breeze for August 2016, the total number of eligible winners of the month will be selected based on the first 1200 of Monthly Gift Winners. These 1200 Monthly Gift Winners will be divided by 5 and the result rounded down to the nearest whole number. The chosen Monthly Grand Prize Winner will be the customer appearing on the list at the positions which matches the number.
  • 1200 identified Monthly Gift Winner for August 2016 will be divided by 5. Hence the Monthly Grand Prize Winner at position no 240 will be entitled to receive an iPhone 6s Plus 16GB.
  • Should the Monthly Grand Prize winner could not be reached for whatsoever reason, a new chosen winner who is at position 480, 720, 960 or 1200 will be selected and the fulfillment process will be repeated.


  • SCB’s decisions relating to this Campaign are final and binding all participants. If any matters arise which are not covered in these terms and conditions, they will be determined solely by SCB.
  • SCB may at any time vary any of these terms and conditions. Any such variation will be announced beforehand on the Bank’s website at, and in SCB’s branches.
  • By participating in the Contest, all participants:
  1. Consent for SCB to disclose their particulars to the SCB’s service providers, agents and suppliers for the purposes of running this Campiagn and delivering the Gift/Prizes;
  2. Agree to participate in any Gift/Prize giving ceremony, interviews or other publicity events required by SCB;
  3. Consent for SCB to disclose or publish their personal information such as their names and identities and any general information that SCB sees fit about the participants or their account[s] in any media, marketing or advertising materials; and
  4. Grant SCB absolute and unrestricted right to modify, use and/or publish any still or moving image of the participants for any marketing, commercial or other related purpose, without any payment or compensation.
  • In the event of any inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and any advertising, promotional, publicity and other materials relating to or in connection with the Promotion, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail.
  • The Campaign and these terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and the participants submit to the jurisdiction of the Courts of Malaysia.
