We are pleased to inform that you will be receiving a replacement credit cards from us by the end of 2016, as part of industry-wide move to replace existing signature-based credit card into PIN and PAY credit cards by 1st January 2017, to provide better protection against fraud with an added security of a 6-Digit Personal Identification Number (PIN).

From 1st July 2017 onwards, signatures will no longer be accepted when you use your card to make a domestic payment. However, if you are using your card overseas, you may need a PIN to authorize the payments, as PIN has been adopted in several countries like Australia, Korea, Indonesia, New Zealand, Spain, Italy and Germany.

Activate your PIN & PAY card immediately by referring to the step by step guide below. If this is a bank-initiated credit card replacement for your signature card, your existing signature card will be de-activated within 90 days.
Step 1 – Card Activation

You can activate your card with either Phone Banking or SMS

Phone Banking SMS
1. Dial 1300 888 888* and select “Card Activation and PIN set up option” 1. Send USE< space >16-digit credit card number to 66300

For example: USE 548934160123456789

** Your card will be activated within 24 hours
** You will be notified once card activated
2. Select “To Activate your Credit Card” option
3. Enter Telephone PIN (TPIN)** for verification
4. Select “Activate Card” and confirm card to be activated
5. You can proceed to Step 2 (Create 6-Digit PIN) immediately in the same call by selecting “PIN Setup”

** For new cardholders without TPIN, please dial 1300 888 888 and speak to our consultant who will assist you.
Kindly note that only Principal Cardholder is authorised to activate Supplementary Card(s).
Step 2 – Create 6-Digit PIN

You can create your 6-Digit PIN with either Phone Banking or Online Banking

1. Dial 1300 888 888* and select ““Card Activation and PIN Setup option” 1. Login to Online Banking

2. Select “PIN Setup” option 2. Select “Profile (Your name), then select “Manage Credit Card PIN and enter your new 6-Digit PIN
3. Enter TPIN for verification 3. Create 6-Digit PIN and reconfirm
4. Select card for PIN Setup, and enter personalised 6-Digit PIN

Using the PIN & PAY card

Paying with PIN Payment via Signature Contactless Transaction
PIN is required when you are prompted to input your 6-digit PIN at point of sale terminals, ATMs, automated fuel dispensers and other unattended terminals. At terminals that are yet to be upgraded for PIN acceptance, you will not be prompted for your 6-digit PIN and your signature will be accepted. The contactless functionality is available for your credit card if the universal contactless symbol is displayed on the card face.
PIN is also required at countries that have migrated to PIN and PAY such as Australia, Korea, Indonesia, New Zealand, Spain, Italy and Germany However, effective 1st July 2017, all transactions performed via point of sale terminals domestically will require a 6-digit PIN to authorize payments. As contactless technology is designed to offer customers speed and convenience at the cashier, you do not need to sign or enter a PIN for contactless transactions up to RM250 in Malaysia. If the transaction is more than RM250, you can still tap the card but will be required to enter your PIN or be asked to sign the receipt.
