COVID-19 Relief Measures
We understand that this is a challenging time and we are fully supportive of Bank Negara Malaysia’s series of measures to ease your financial pressures in the current economic environment.

 

Loan/financing deferment programme

From 1 April 2020, for a 6-month period, all individuals and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) with outstanding conventional loans or Islamic financing (except credit cards) with Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia Berhad and Standard Chartered Saadiq Berhad will be automatically eligible for our deferment programme subject to meeting these criteria:
. not in arrears exceeding 90 days as at 1 April 2020; and
. denominated in Malaysian Ringgit.
 

The products included in this deferment programme are,
. Personal Loans/Personal Financing-i
Residential Mortgage/Saadiq MyHome-i or Saadiq MyHomeOne-i and Commercial Mortgage Loan/Biz Property Equity-i
Business Instalment Loan/ Biz-Financing-I and Guaranteed Instalment Loans/ Guaranteed Instalment Financing (GIF)

 

During this period, should you or your company meet the conditions above, you do not need to make any payment, and no late payment charges/compensation or penalties will be imposed. Interest/profit will continue to accrue on loan/financing payments that are deferred, and you will need to honour the deferred payments in the future. The interest for conventional loans as well as profit on Islamic financing will not be compounded during the moratorium period. Loan/financing payment resumes after the deferment period.

Self-service terminal operating hours

Our Self-service terminals (including ATM, Cash Deposit and Cheque Deposit Machines) operating hours has return to normal operating hours (24 hours).
 

Please take note that cheque clearing time is at 3pm as per business as usual. Existing notices are placed at all Cheque Deposit Machines at branches.

Notification on Interbank Cash Withdrawal Fee Waiver during Movement Control Order (MCO)

Effective 6 April 2020, the RM1 fee on cardholders for any Automated-Teller Machine (ATM) cash withdrawal transactions conducted via MEPS Shared ATM Network (SAN) and via MEPS white label ATMs in Malaysia will be waived until the end of the MCO period.
