The new Weekly and Monthly prizes for the months of October, November, and December 2013 are as follows:

Standard Chartered “Digitalisation Campaign” Contest 
Terms and Conditions

1. Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia Berhad’s (“SCBMB”) “Digitalisation Campaign” Contest (“Contest”) will run from 24 June 2013 to 31 December 2013, both dates inclusive (“Contest Period”).
2. By participating in this Contest, participants agree to be bound by all the terms and conditions below.


Eligibility

3. This Contest is open to all customers of SCBMB ans/or Standard Chartered Saadiq Berhad (“SCSB”) who:
3.1 are:
(a) SCBMB credit card customers and/or current account / savings account customers; or
(b) SCSB current account / savings account customers; or
(c) SCBMB SME customers; or
(d) SCSB SME customers;
and
3.2are ordinarily resident in Malaysia, as evidenced by their address in SCBMB’s / SCSB’s records; and
3.3 are registered Standard Chartered Online Banking users or registered Breeze mobile banking users or registered Straight2Bank users; and
3.4have maintained their accounts with SCBMB / SCSB in good standing, without any breach of the relevant terms and conditions;
  (“Eligible Customers”). The expression “Bank” throughout these terms and conditions refers interchangeably to either SCBMB or SCSB, while “Banks” refers to both of them collectively.

4. The following persons are not eligible to participate in this Contest:
 
4.1 Permanent and/or contract employees of the Bank (including its subsidiaries and related companies) and their immediate family members (spouses, children, parents, brothers and sisters); and/or
4.2 Representatives and/or agents (including advertising and Contest agents) of Visa or MasterCard and their immediate family members (spouses, children, parents, brothers and sisters); and/or
4.3 Individuals below the age of 21 years; and/or
4.4 Representatives and/or agents of the Banks’ advertising agencies or auditing agencies;
and/or
4.5 SCSB Al-Wadiah account holders.


Participation

5. Under the Contest, Eligible Customers are required to perform Financial Transactions using Standard Chartered online banking, Straight2Bank, or Breeze mobile banking only. References to “online” in Clause 6 below shall be references to those transactions made via Standard Chartered Online Banking, Straight2Bank or via Breeze mobile banking.
6. “Financial Transactions” mean third party fund transfers for online loan/financing and credit card repayments, interbank GIRO fund transfers, online telegraphic transfer, online bill payments, online payroll, or online RENTAS transactions with a minimum amount of RM50 per transaction. Transactions are attributed based on the username logged in for that transaction. Multiple Financial Transactions for payment into the same account on the same day will be treated as a single transaction.
7. Eligible Customers will earn a contest entry (“Entry”) in the following manner:
7.1 One (1) Entry for each successful Financial Transaction of RM50 or more via Standard Chartered Online Banking or Straight2Bank during the Contest Period; and
7.2Two (2) Entries for each of their successful Financial Transaction of RM50 or more via Breeze mobile banking during the Contest Period.
8. The amounts of the Financial Transactions will not be accumulated in determining the number of Entries earned.
9. Transactions made between an Eligible Customer’s current account and savings account shall not be deemed a Financial Transaction.


Additional Entries via Facebook Like

10. Individual Eligible Customers who are registered Facebook users will receive an additional Entry for every successful Financial Transaction made if these individual Eligible Customers indicate a “like” on the SCBMB’s Facebook page
(www.facebook.com/DigitalStandardChartered).
11. Eligible Customers will be directed to a page where they must input their NRIC and email address (as registered with the Bank) and must consent to the Contest’s terms and conditions. The details submitted by the Eligible Customers will be verified by the Bank against the Bank’s records and may take up to fourteen (14) working days. Once verified, Eligible Customers will receive an additional Entry for each successful Financial Transaction made thereafter. There will be no additional Entries given for successful Financial Transactions made prior to the date the Eligible Customer indicated a “like” on SCBMB’s Facebook page.
12. SCBMB SME customers and/or SCSB customers who are Straight2Bank users are not eligible for additional Entries under this section.


Contest Categories

13. The Contest is divided into four (4) contest categories:
13.1 Daily Contests;
13.2Weekly Contests;
13.3Monthly Contests; and
13.4the Grand Draw.
14. Different prizes will be given away throughout the Contest Period for the Weekly and Monthly Contests, as follows:

  1. Month: July (including 24th June until 30 June)
  2. Weekly Prizes: Samsung Galaxy S4
  3. Monthly Prizes: Samsung Smart TV
  4. Month: August - September
  5. Weekly Prizes:Samsung Galaxy Note 3
  6. Monthly Prizes:Samsung Smart TV
  7. Month: October - December
  8. Weekly Prizes:Samsung Galaxy Note 3
  9. Monthly Prizes:Samsung Smart TV


15. Daily Contests

15.1 The daily prize consists of a maximum cashback amount of RM300 only.
15.2 The Financial Transaction for the Daily Contests is limited to online bill payments only. All Straight2Bank transactions are excluded from the Daily Contests.
15.3 If the winning Entry’s Financial Transaction is less than RM300, the daily winner will receive a cashback in an amount equivalent to the Financial Transaction. This amount will be credited into the daily winner’s current or savings or credit card account. If at the time of crediting the cashback the Eligible Customer no longer holds any deposit account or credit card account with the Bank, this cashback amount will be forfeited and the Eligible Customer will not be entitled to any payment, compensation, or alternative modes of payment of the cashback.
15.4 Only one (1) prize will be awarded daily throughout the Contest Period.
15.5 At the end of each day during the Contest Period, all Eligible Customers with at least one (1) Entry in that day will be listed (“Daily List”) in accordance with their unique bank customer identification number in the Bank’s records. The total number of Entries in the Daily List will be divided by seven (7) and the result rounded down to the nearest whole number.
15.6.The winner of the daily prize will be the customer appearing on that day’s Daily List at the position which matches the result rounded down to the nearest whole number.
 
Example: If there are a total of 1,000 Entries in a particular day, then that total will be divided by 7. The result is 142. The shortlisted winner will be the customer at position no. 142 in that particular Daily List.


16. Weekly Contests

16.1 There will only be one (1) winner for each Weekly Contest throughout the Contest Period. The weekly prizes to be awarded will be dependent on the month in question as set out in the table in Clause 14 above.
16.2 At the end of each week during the Contest Period, all Eligible Customers with at least one (1) Entry in that week will be listed (“ Weekly List”) in accordance with their unique bank customer identification number in the Bank’s records.
16.3 The total number of Entries in each Weekly List will be divided by four (4) and the result rounded down to the nearest whole number.
16.4 The winners for the weekly prize will be the will be the customer appearing on that week’s Weekly List at the position which matches the result rounded down to the nearest whole number.
 
Example: If there are a total of 15,000 Entries in a particular week, then that total will be divided by 4. The result is 3,750. The shortlisted winner will be the customer at position no. 3,750 in that particular Weekly List.


17. Monthly Contests

17.1 There will only be one (1) winner for each Monthly Contest throughout the Contest Period. The monthly prizes to be awarded will be dependent on the month in question as set out in the table in Clause 14 above.
17.2 At the end of each month during the Contest Period, all Eligible Customers with at least one (1) Entry in that month will be listed (“Monthly List”) in accordance with their unique bank customer identification number (Customer Number) in the Bank’s records. The total number of monthly Entries in the Monthly List will be divided by six (6) and the result rounded down to the nearest whole number.
17.3 The winners for the monthly prizes will be the customer appearing on that month’s Monthly List at the position which matches the result of the nearest rounded whole number.
17.4 For the avoidance of doubt, all Entries in the month of June will be listed together with all Entries in the month of July.
 
Example: If there are a total of 60,000 Entries in a particular month, then that total will be divided by 6. The result is 10,000. The shortlisted winner will be the Customer at position no. 10,000 in that particular Monthly List.


18. Grand Draw

18.1 The Grand Draw prize consists of one (1) unit of BMW X1 s-Drive 20i.
18.2 At the end of the Contest Period, all Eligible Customers who have participated in the Contest throughout the Contest Period will be listed (“Grand Draw List”) in accordance with their unique bank customer identification number in the Bank’s records.
18.3 All Entries in the Grand Draw List will be divided by 233 and the result rounded down to the nearest whole number.
18.4 The shortlisted winner for the Grand Draw prize will be the customer appearing at the position which matches the nearest rounded whole number.
 
Example: If there are a total of 370,000 Entries in the Contest Period, then that total will be divided by 233. The result is 1587. The shortlisted Winner will be the Customer at no. 1587 on the Grand Draw List.

19 After the winners have been shortlisted, SCBMB will call the customer at his/her/its latest telephone number in the relevant Bank’s records. For the shortlisted winners of the Daily, Weekly and Monthly Contests, these calls will be made within six (6) weeks from the relevant transaction date. For the Grand Draw, this call will be made within thirty (30) days after the Contest Period ends. If:
19.1 any shortlisted winner cannot be contacted for any reason, or
19.2 it is found at any time that any winner (whether shortlisted or confirmed) did not meet all the criteria set out for this Contest, new shortlisted winners will be selected, and the calling process will be repeated. In each case, the new shortlisted winner will be the next name on the relevant list.


Definitions

20. A “day” is defined as commencing from 12:00 am and ending on 23:59 pm, Kuala Lumpur time.
21. “Working day” means any day which is not a Saturday, Sunday or a public holiday in Kuala Lumpur.
22. A “week” is defined as starting on 12:00 am on a Monday and ending on 11:59 pm on a Friday, Kuala Lumpur time.
23. A “month” is defined as starting on 12:00 am on the first day of each calendar month and ending on 11:59 pm of the last day of each calendar month.


General

24. Prizes cannot be transferred, nor can they be exchanged for cash or for any other item.
25. The Bank’s system records indicating login or transaction details will be final and conclusive for purposes of this Contest.
26. SCBMB’s determination of entitlement for Prizes shall be final, conclusive and binding.
27. Eligible Customers who are entitled to the Prizes will be notified via telephone call and notification letter.
28. The Daily, Weekly and Monthly Contests winners shall be announced within six (6) weeks after the relevant transaction date. The Grand Draw winner shall be announced within thirty (30) days after the Contest Period ends. These results will be announced at SCBMB’s website at standardchartered.com.my.
29. All Prizes will be delivered via SCBMB’s appointed vendor to the winner’s address in the relevant Bank’s record within eight (8) weeks after the end of the Contest Period and will be deemed received by the Eligible Customer upon acknowledgement by any occupant at that address. Prizes will not be sent to a P.O. Box no. and winners with such an address will forfeit their prizes. Prizes which cannot be delivered for any reason after 3 attempts will be forfeited.
30. Any winner whose prize has been forfeited shall not be entitled to any payment or compensation regardless of reasons given.
31. SCBMB is not the agent of the merchants and makes no representation as to the quality/condition or performance of the prizes. Any dispute about quality or performance of the prize is to be resolved directly between the customer and the merchant.
32. SCBMB may at any time vary any of these terms and conditions. Any such variation will be announced beforehand on our website at standardchartered.com.my, and in our branches.
33. By participating in the Contest, all participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions, and:
33.1 consent for SCBMB to disclose their particulars to SCBMB’s service providers for purposes of delivering the prizes; and
33.2 consent for SCBMB to disclose or publish their personal information such as their names and identities and any information that SCBMB sees fit about the participants or their account(s) in any media, marketing or advertising materials.
33.3 Consent for SCBMB to publish their particular for commercialization purposes in SCBMB’s Facebook page, website, etc.
34. The Contest and these terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Malaysia. The participants agree that the Courts of Malaysia have jurisdiction over all matters arising from this Contest.
