This is with reference to the charge of Re 1 per USD on foreign transactions being levied on all Standard Chartered Saadiq Credit Cards. In order to comply with the Shariah guidelines, we have removed this particular charge from Schedule of Charges for the period January to June 2012.
The removal of the above charge from the system will require further development, which will be completed by June 2012. Therefore, till such time, these charges will be reflected in the card statement, however, the Bank will be reversing these charges to customers based on the transactions as per record.
