Chief Operating Officer, Private Banking & Wealth Management
Jean Nabaa is the Chief Operating Officer of Private Banking and Wealth Management. He is based in Singapore, reports to Doris Honold (Group COO) and supports Didier von Daeniken (Global Head, Private Banking & Wealth Management) in defining and executing the business strategy, reinforcing exemplary control and governance and enabling business growth.
Before joining Standard Chartered in July 2014, Jean spent 7 years with Bank of America Merrill Lynch in a variety of roles, most recently as Chief Operating Officer of Asia Pacific Wealth Management. In that capacity he oversaw client service, business supervision & control and business management groups in Singapore, Hong Kong, India, the US West Coast and Japan. Prior to that, Jean was with McKinsey & Company and served financial institutions in Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
Jean holds a Master in Business Administration from INSEAD (Fontainebleau / Singapore) and a MSc in economics from the University of Lausanne, Switzerland.
Jean is a Lebanese and Swiss citizen. His interests include golf, running and reading.

The Shellshock (or Bash Bug) vulnerability has recently been discovered by IT security researchers. This vulnerability could allow an attacker to gain control over an affected machine, access confidential information and perform unauthorised activities. The Bank has carried out investigations and found no vulnerability in our systems. We will continue to monitor our systems and the external environment to take necessary action if a threat is detected
