CashOne Personal Loan/Credit Card Instalment Loan Terms & Conditions

Important things to note

Please note that our decision in all matters arising out of or in connection with this application is final and conclusive. Our Customer Terms, Credit Card Instalment Loan Product Terms, Personal Loan/Personal Line of Credit/Overdraft Terms and CashOne Product Terms apply. Applicable Fees and Charges

A default interest of 4% p.a. (or any other rate as we may stipulate from time to time in our discretion) will be added to the original Effective Interest Rate on the entire outstanding balance on your CashOne Personal Loan/Credit Card Instalment Loan account, if full payment is not received by the payment due date twice within any consecutive 6 months period.

An early redemption fee of S$250 or up to 3% of the outstanding balance, whichever is higher, will be charged if you choose to close the account or redeem the loan before the date of maturity. Please note that failure to submit account closure form to effect early redemption of account will result in monthly interest continuing to be charged even if payment has been made to your CashOne Personal Loan/Credit Card Instalment Loan account.

Annual loan maintenance fee of S$199 (first year) and S$50 (second year onwards till expiry of instalment tenor) will be charged per Credit Card Instalment Loan account. The first year annual fee of S$199 will be deducted upfront from the approved loan amount.

A conversion fee of S$50 per change will be charged for any changes in instalment tenor or repayment aspect of CashOne Personal Loan/Credit Card Instalment Loan account.

If you are an existing Standard Chartered Credit Cardholder and you apply for a CashOne Personal Loan, you consent to us treating your application as a Credit Card Instalment Loan which will drawdown from your existing credit card limit.

If you are an existing Standard Chartered Credit Cardholder or are applying for a new Platinum VISA Credit Card with this application, your available credit card limit will be used for your CashOne Personal Loan/Credit Card Instalment Loan account (up to 98% of the available credit limit of your credit card).

If you are an existing Standard Chartered Personal Credit customer, your line of credit account may be converted to a CashOne Personal Loan/Credit Card Instalment Loan account.

If you hold any of our Credit Cards with a credit limit of S$500 and your annual income ranges from S$20,000 to S$29,999, your Credit Card account will be closed upon approval of the CashOne Personal Loan.

Request for credit report

If you wish to have a free credit report, you may obtain it within 30 calendar days from the date of approval or rejection of this application via the credit bureau website listed below.  Alternatively, you may bring the approval or rejection letter and your NRIC to the following credit bureau’s registered office to obtain a free credit report.

CashOne Personal Loan/Credit Card Instalment Loan Declaration and Acceptance

  1. Where you are an existing to bank customer, you represent and warrant to the Bank that there is no change in your income or employment details which you had last provided to the Bank. However, where there has been a change in your income or employment details which you had last provided to the Bank, or where you are a new to bank customer, you agree to provide the relevant income documentation as may be requested by the Bank for the purposes of this application.
  2. If there is a change in your income or employment details during the period from the date of submission of this application to the date of submission of your income documentation (if applicable), you must notify the Bank immediately and you agree to provide the relevant updated income documentation as may be requested by the Bank for the purposes of this application.
  3. You have read and understood the features and details of CashOne Personal Loan/Credit Card Instalment Loan set out in earlier sections. You acknowledge that you are bound by any variation we make to our banking agreement. In particular, you understand that by entering into our banking agreement, you give indemnities, authorisations, consents and waivers and agree to limitations on our liability.
  4. You understand and agree that you are applying for a CashOne Personal Loan/Credit Card Instalment Loan and you understand and agree that we reserve the discretion at any time to approve further disbursement up to the maximum amount allowed under prevailing guidelines or approve fresh disbursements where the CashOne Personal Loan/Credit Card Instalment Loan has been partially drawdown or repaid partially or wholly.
  5. You understand and agree that by applying for a CashOne loan, you are also applying for a Standard Chartered Platinum Visa Credit Card if your annual income is S$30,000 and above and you understand and agree that you have read and understood the features and details of the Standard Chartered Platinum Visa Credit Card set out in earlier sections. You agree to be bound by any variation we make to our banking agreement. You understand and agree that you will be liable for all payments and charges on your credit card account, and such card will be renewed and replaced until termination of the card.
  6. You represent and warrant that all information (including any documents) you give to us in connection with the application is correct, complete and not misleading. (If this is not the case you may be personally liable.)
  7. You authorize us to verify any of the information you have given to us or your credit standing from anyone we may consider appropriate (such as your employer or an authority or credit reference agency).
  8. You acknowledge that we may decline your application without giving you any reason for doing so. If this happens, no contractual relationship arises between us and you and you consent to us retaining all supporting documents submitted by you for the processing of this application, regardless of whether this application is approved or not.
  9. You confirm and agree that we may give any information in connection with this application (including your personal information) to any service provider (whether located in or outside of Singapore) for the purposes of providing any service to you in connection with this application (including data processing).
  10. You consent to each of Standard Chartered PLC and its subsidiaries and affiliates (including each branch or representative office) (collectively, the “Standard Chartered Group”), its officers, employees, agents and advisers disclosing information relating to you (including details of the accounts, products or any security interest) to:
    1. our head office and any other member of the Standard Chartered Group in any jurisdiction (collectively, the “permitted parties”);
    2. professional advisers, service providers or independent contractors to, or agents of, the permitted parties, such as debt collection agencies, data processing firms and correspondents who are under a duty of confidentiality to the permitted parties;
    3. any actual or potential participant or sub-participant in relation to any of our obligations under our banking agreement between us, or assignee, novatee or transferee (or any officer, employee, agent or adviser of any of them);
    4. any credit bureau or credit reference agency, rating agency, business alliance partner, insurer or insurance broker of, or direct or indirect provider of credit protection to, or any permitted parties;
    5. any financial institution which you have or may have dealings for the purpose of conducting credit checks (including in the form of blank references);
    6. any court, tribunal or authority (including an authority investigating an offence) with jurisdiction over the permitted parties; a merchant or a member of Visa International or MasterCard International where the disclosure is in connection with use of a card;
    7. any authorised person or any security provider; and
    8. anyone we consider necessary in order to provide you with services in connection with an account.
  11. You consent to us contacting you at the address, email address and phone numbers you have provided to us, to give you information on other products and services that we, or our strategic partners, may offer. You further consent to us sharing any of your information in relation to this application with any of our strategic partners.
  12. You irrevocably consent to us sharing with BankBazaar (A&A Dukaan Financial Services (Singapore) Pte. Ltd), any and all such information that may be relevant for the purpose of determining any gift(s), credit, or cashback which you may be eligible for upon the successful outcome of your application.
  13. You consent to us sending at your sole risk, by ordinary mail or other means we deem appropriate, any credit card, all information regarding your account, personal identification number, all statements of accounts, cheques, drafts issued in disbursement of any loan and any other communications or correspondences or documents addressed to you (collectively “personal information”) in accordance with your addresses on our records.
  14. You agree that any risks (e.g. non-receipt or disclosure to any unauthorised third party) arising from the sending of the personal information will be fully borne by you and that we will not be held responsible in any way for any losses that may be suffered by you as a result of the non-receipt or disclosure of the same to any unauthorised third party.
  15. You agree that at your sole risk, we are authorised but not obliged, to receive any instruction given by or over telephone, mobile telephone, telex, facsimile transmission, telegraph, cable, computer, email or any other electronic equipment, short message services (SMS) from mobile telephone (collectively “Oral Instructions”) from or purporting to be from you without separate verification by us as to the genuineness of the Oral Instructions.
  16. If applicable, you apply for electronic banking services to be made available to you and acknowledge that your use of the electronic banking services is governed by the Customer Terms. You confirm that you are not an undischarged bankrupt and that there has not been any statutory demand served on you at the time of this application.
  17. You authorise us to debit any of your accounts maintained with us either singly or jointly with any other person for any arrears, outstanding fees, monthly repayment, accrued interest and all other monies due and payable to us without any further reference to you.                                                                                                                                                                                  

    Important information for your preferred credit limit

    You understand and agree that:

  18. The approved credit limit for your credit card(s) in this application (where applicable) will be the overall limit that applies to and is shared among all your principal credit card(s) with the Bank and all corresponding supplementary credit card(s) authorised by you to be issued on your account.
  19. The approved credit limit will be the lowest of: (a) the specific preferred credit limit you indicated in section 2; (b) the maximum credit limit allowable under prevailing regulations; and (c) such other credit limit as determined by the Bank.
  20. In relation to this application, if you are authorising the issue of supplementary credit card(s) on your account, the approved credit limit will also apply to each of such supplementary credit card(s).
  21. If you have existing principal credit card(s) and you have authorised the issue of supplementary credit card(s) on your account in respect of such card(s), the Bank may also require such supplementary cardholder(s) to indicate their preferred credit limit(s) for their supplementary card(s) before determining the approved credit limit since the approved credit limit is an overall credit limit that will also apply to such existing supplementary card(s). You agree that the Bank may contact or may require you to contact such supplementary cardholder(s) for this purpose.

You confirm you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the matters set out in the CashOne Personal Loan/Credit Card Instalment Loan Declaration and Acceptance section above, and the applicable terms (including the Customer TermsCredit Card Instalment Loan Terms, the Personal Loan/Personal Line of Credit/Overdraft Terms, the CashOne Product Terms and all other applicable terms referred to in Part A of our Customer Terms forming our banking agreement), and you wish to submit your application. You agree to be bound by them for the use of any product we may provide you with.
