      Banknotes Reservations (starting from 4 January 2022) – Note: banknotes are already fully reserved

      Dear Clients,

      Your health and safety remain of utmost priority. In line with safe distancing measures, clients* are required to make a reservation for the new banknotes via our online reservation system from 4 to 10 January 2022 prior to the exchange at our branches. If you fail to show up on your reserved date and timeslot, your reservation will be released.

      * Clients aged 60 and above or clients with special needs can visit the branch for new bank notes exchange without prior reservation from 11 January to 30 January 2022.

       

      Here’s how:

      1. Login to Online Banking or the Standard Chartered (SC) Mobile App. (app version of 8.10.0 and later is required)
      2. Access the new banknotes reservation page by clicking on the reservation banner.
      3. Select your preferred banknote denominations:
        1. Good – as – New S$2 (capped at S$800, in bundle of S$200) – Fully reserved
        2. S$2 (capped at S$400, in bundle of S$200) – Fully reserved
        3. S$5 (capped at S$400) – Fully reserved
        4. S$10 (capped at S$1,000) – Fully reserved
        5. S$50 (capped at S$2,000) – Fully reserved
      1. Select your preferred collection date (between 11 January and 30 January 2022), time and branch location.
      2. Verify your details and confirm your selection. A confirmation email will be sent to you upon receiving your request.
      3. Collect your new banknotes at your selected branch with your Reservation Confirmation email or Booking Reference Number, on your reserved date at the selected time.

      Please note that new banknotes are subject to availability, on a first-come, first-served basis.

      Alternatively, you can surprise your loved ones with an e-Ang Bao via PayNow during Chinese New Year using SC Mobile App.

      Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

      • All clients are required to reserve the new banknotes via the Online Reservation system accessible via Online Banking or the SC Mobile App. Please see key dates below:

        • Reservation Period: 4 to 10 January 2022
        • Collection Period: 11 January to 30 January 2022

        Please note that the collection timeslots and banknote denominations are each subject to availability on a first-come, first-served basis.

      • Unfortunately, each account holder can only make one online request during the Reservation Period.

      • No. You can only exchange for new notes at the branch if a prior online request during the Reservation Period has been made. Only clients aged 60 and above and/or with special needs are exempted from this.

      • To minimize crowding and in accordance to the Government’s safe distancing measures, clients will be allocated timeslots for the exchange of new notes via our Online Reservation system. This way, it also ensures that there are sufficient stocks for our clients’ desired denomination(s).

      • We are unfortunately unable to. In accordance to the Government’s safe distancing measures and to minimize crowding, there is a limit to the number of slots per branch. You may choose to select other branches with available slots to collect your new notes. Please note that slots and notes availability are on a first come first served basis. Alternatively, you may wish to send an e-Angbao to your loved ones via Paynow on SC Mobile.

      • Please stick to the timeslot and branch allocated to you upon request. Should you need to amend your reservation request, you will need to cancel your original reservation request via Online Banking or the SC Mobile App and submit a new reservation by 10 January 2022.

        Please note that the preferred collection venue, date and time cannot be changed after 10 January 2022 or when the new banknotes, preferred collection venue, date and/or time are fully reserved, whichever is earlier.

        All new notes are subjected to availability, on a first-come-first-served basis.

      • You will need to provide the confirmation email sent to you or reference number indicated on the confirmation email or SMS at the branch.

      • Yes, you will be provided with a Q number for the exchange of new notes. Please feel free to approach our staff on the ground if you need any help.

      • No, If the notes remain uncollected on that day, the reservation will be automatically canceled without further notice to you.

      • No. You can only exchange for new notes at the branch if a prior online request during the Reservation Period has been made.

        First hour of branch opening are reserved for Clients aged 60 and above and/or with special needs for them to exchange the new notes without prior reservation. Banknote denominations are each subject to availability on a first-come, first-served basis.
