The Christmas 2022 Promotion (“Promotion”) is available from 8 November 2022 to 31 December 2022 (both dates inclusive) (the “Promotion Period”). The Promotion is open to all principal cardholders of credit cards issued by Standard Chartered Bank (Singapore) Limited (“Bank”) (each a “Card”). Each principal cardholder of a Card shall be referred to as an “Eligible Cardholder”. The Promotion comprises the following of Christmas Cashback Promotion (“Christmas Cashback Promotion”) and Christmas Foreign Currency Promotion (“Christmas Foreign Currency Promotion”). To participate in the Promotion, an Eligible Cardholder must be a registered and valid user of the Standard Chartered Mobile Banking App (“SC Mobile App”) and have enabled the option to receive push notifications (which is a service provided by Apple and Google for their respective mobile operating systems i.e. iOS and Android respectively, through which an iOS or Android mobile app can send a user (who has installed such mobile app) a notification) (“Push Notification”) from the Bank on his/her mobile phone via the SC Mobile App (Banking and Marketing alerts), with the Push Notification summarising the details of the Promotion (“Promotion Invitation”). For the avoidance of doubt, the Promotion Invitation will only be broadcasted from 8 November 2022 onwards, and the frequency of such broadcast will be at the Bank’s determination. Upon clicking on the ‘Register Now’ button in the Promotion Invitation, all of the Eligible Cardholder’s validly existing Card(s) (i.e. not suspended, cancelled and/or terminated) which are in good standing, and conducted in a proper and satisfactory manner, as determined by the Bank, will be registered for the Promotion (such successfully registered card(s) hereinafter referred to as a “Registered Card” and the cardholder of such Registered Card, a “Registered Cardholder”) immediately. The Bank may vary, modify, add, delete or otherwise revise any of the Promotion Terms and Conditions or modify, terminate, withdraw, extend, suspend or shorten the Promotion at any time at the Bank’s sole and absolute discretion, with or without prior notice or reason (and the Bank shall not be obliged to disclose its reasons).
      • To qualify for the cashback (“Christmas Cashback”) under the Christmas Cashback Promotion, the Registered Cardholder must, during the Promotion Period, meet at least one of the three (3) Tiers of spend amount(s) in Qualifying Transactions (“Spend Amounts”) aggregated across his/her Registered Card(s). Tier 1 – Get S$30 Christmas Cashback with Spend Amounts of S$4,500-S$8,999.99, limited to the first 5,500 Registered Cardholders; Tier 2 – Get S$70 Christmas Cashback with Spend Amounts of S$9,000-S$17,999.99, limited to the first 4,500 Registered Cardholders; and Tier 3 – Get S$120 Christmas Cashback with Spend Amounts of S$12,000 and above, limited to the first 4,500 Registered Cardholders. If the Registered Cardholder is within the allocated number of qualifiers for either Tier (as determined by the transaction date and time of the Qualifying Transaction), then he/she will be entitled to the corresponding Christmas Cashback amount. The maximum amount of Cashback that can be awarded to each Registered Cardholder pursuant to the Christmas Cashback Promotion is capped at S$120. All Christmas Cashback will be credited to the relevant Winning Cardholders’ Registered Card account by 28 February 2023. For purposes of the Christmas Cashback Promotion, “Qualifying Transactions” are retail transactions that: (a) have a transaction date falling within the Promotion Period, (b) have been successfully posted to the Registered Card account by 28 February 2023; and (c) are not excluded transactions as per Promotion Terms and Conditions. A Push Notification will be sent to notify Registered Cardholders of their spends progress for the Travel Voyage Promotion every Friday during the Promotion Period (“Spends Tracker Push Notification”). For the avoidance of doubt, the spends information found in a Spends Tracker Push Notification is estimated based on authorised transactions made for Eligible Travel Transactions and the final amount (“Spend Amount”) may change if there are reversals or refunds made on the Registered Card. The Bank shall not be responsible for notifying a Registered Cardholder if the Spend Amount is different than as communicated in a Spends Tracker Push Notification.
      • For the purposes of the Christmas Foreign Currency Promotion, “Foreign Currency Qualifying Transactions” are Qualifying Transactions which are charged in foreign currency (i.e. not Singapore dollars) that are charged to a Registered Card that: (a) have a transaction date falling within the Promotion Period, (b)  have been successfully posted to the Registered Card account by 28 February 2023; and (c) are not excluded transactions as per Promotion Terms and Conditions. To qualify, Registered Cardholders must meet a minimum spend amount of S$5,000 in Foreign Currency Qualifying Transactions and is one of the first 2,000 Registered Cardholders to meet the Foreign Currency Qualifying Transactions to receive a S$50 cashback (“FX Cashback”).

      Excluded Transactions

      • Insurance premiums, including premiums for investment-linked policies;
      • Any transactions or bill payments to telecommunications and utilities providers including but not limited to Starhub, Singtel, M1, and Singapore Power;
      • Any payment via AXS network;
      • Any payment via SAM network;
      • Payments to government agencies which include but are not limited to Land Transport Authority, Housing Development Board, Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore, Public Utilities Board, Immigration & Checkpoints Authority and the Ministry of Manpower;
      • Income tax payments;
      • Any bill payment made using the SC EasyBill bill payment programme;
      • Any top-ups or payment of funds to any prepaid cards (with the exception of EZ-Reload), prepaid accounts, digital wallets including but not limited to Grab, Singtel Dash, WorldRemit Singapore, YouTrip or any other accounts as the Bank may specify from time to time
      • Any top-ups or payment of funds which are classified under Merchant Category Codes 6012 (Financial Institutions – Merchandise, Services, and Debt Repayment) and/or 6540 (or Non-Financial Institutions – Stored Value Card Purchase/Load);
      • EZ-Link cards transactions;
      • TransitLink transactions;
      • Any transactions pertaining to Merchant Category Codes 6211 (Security Brokers/Dealers), 7995 (Gambling/Lotto) and 6051 (Non-Financial Institutions – Foreign Currency, Non-Fiat Currency (for example: Cryptocurrency), Travelers Cheques, and Debt Repayment);
      • Balance transfers (or funds transfers), instalment loans and cash advances (including AnytimeCash), purchases via NETS and ongoing instalment payments (including EasyPay);
      • Any fees and charges (including annual fees, interest charges, cheque processing fees, administrative fees, cash advance fees, finance charges and/or late payment charges and other miscellaneous fees and charges) charged to any of the Bank issued credit cards of the Registered Cardholder;
      • Any amount charged to the any of the Bank issued credit cards of the Registered Cardholder during the Promotion Period that is subsequently cancelled, voided or reversed; and
      • Balance owing on the Registered Cardholder’s credit card accounts from other months.
