The Lunar New Year 2023 Promotion (“Promotion”) is available from 12 January to 12 March 2023 (both dates inclusive) (the “Promotion Period”). The Promotion is open to all principal cardholders of credit cards issued by Standard Chartered Bank (Singapore) Limited (“Bank”) (each a “Card”). Each principal cardholder of a Card shall be referred to as an “Eligible Cardholder”. To participate in the Promotion, an Eligible Cardholder must be a registered and valid user of the Standard Chartered Mobile Banking App (“SC Mobile App”) and have enabled the option to receive push notifications (which is a service provided by Apple and Google for their respective mobile operating systems i.e. iOS and Android respectively, through which an iOS or Android mobile app can send a user (who has installed such mobile app) a notification) (“Push Notification”) from the Bank on his/her mobile phone via the SC Mobile App (Banking and Marketing alerts), with the Push Notification summarising the details of the Promotion (“Promotion Invitation”). For the avoidance of doubt, the Promotion Invitation will only be broadcasted from 12 January 2023 onwards, and the frequency of such broadcast will be at the Bank’s determination. Upon clicking on the ‘Register Now’ button in the Promotion Invitation, all of the Eligible Cardholder’s validly existing Card(s) (i.e. not suspended, cancelled and/or terminated) which are in good standing, and conducted in a proper and satisfactory manner, as determined by the Bank, will be registered for the Promotion (such successfully registered card(s) hereinafter referred to as a “Registered Card” and the cardholder of such Registered Card, a “Registered Cardholder”) immediately. The Bank may vary, modify, add, delete or otherwise revise any of the Promotion Terms and Conditions or modify, terminate, withdraw, extend, suspend or shorten the Promotion at any time at the Bank’s sole and absolute discretion, with or without prior notice or reason (and the Bank shall not be obliged to disclose its reasons).

To qualify for the Promotion, Eligible Cardholders must, during the Promotion Period, meet the minimum spend amount of S$128 in a single receipt for either in-store or online at FairPrice online, FairPrice Supermarket, FairPrice Finest, Finest Gourmet, FairPrice Xtra, FairPrice Shop, Unity and Warehouse Club only (“FPG Minimum Spend”). For the avoidance of doubt, the FPG Minimum Spend must have a transaction date falling within the Promotion Period, which is successfully posted to the Card account within 30 day from the transaction date and falls within the Eligible Transaction. If a Cardholder satisfies the conditions and is one of the first 7,000 redemptions, on a first come first serve basis, to meet the FPG Minimum Spend, then he/she will be entitled to a cashback of S$8 (“FPG Rebate”). For the avoidance of doubt, the maximum FPG Rebate that can be awarded to each eligible Cardholder is capped at one redemption. The Bank may vary, modify, add, delete or otherwise revise any of the Promotion Terms and Conditions or modify, terminate, withdraw, extend, suspend or shorten the Promotion at any time at the Bank’s sole and absolute discretion, with or without prior notice or reason (and the Bank shall not be obliged to disclose its reasons).

      Excluded Transactions

      • Insurance premiums, including premiums for investment-linked policies;
      • Any transactions or bill payments to telecommunications and utilities providers including but not limited to Starhub, Singtel, M1, and Singapore Power;
      • Any payment via AXS network;
      • Any payment via SAM network;
      • Payments to government agencies which include but are not limited to Land Transport Authority, Housing Development Board, Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore, Public Utilities Board, Immigration & Checkpoints Authority and the Ministry of Manpower;
      • Income tax payments;
      • Any bill payment made using the SC EasyBill bill payment programme;
      • Any top-ups or payment of funds to any prepaid cards (with the exception of EZ-Reload), prepaid accounts, digital wallets including but not limited to Grab, Singtel Dash, WorldRemit Singapore, YouTrip or any other accounts as the Bank may specify from time to time
      • Any top-ups or payment of funds which are classified under Merchant Category Codes 6012 (Financial Institutions – Merchandise, Services, and Debt Repayment) and/or 6540 (or Non-Financial Institutions – Stored Value Card Purchase/Load);
      • EZ-Link cards transactions;
      • TransitLink transactions;
      • Any transactions pertaining to Merchant Category Codes 6211 (Security Brokers/Dealers), 7995 (Gambling/Lotto) and 6051 (Non-Financial Institutions – Foreign Currency, Non-Fiat Currency (for example: Cryptocurrency), Travelers Cheques, and Debt Repayment);
      • Balance transfers (or funds transfers), instalment loans and cash advances (including AnytimeCash), purchases via NETS and ongoing instalment payments (including EasyPay);
      • Any fees and charges (including annual fees, interest charges, cheque processing fees, administrative fees, cash advance fees, finance charges and/or late payment charges and other miscellaneous fees and charges) charged to any of the Bank issued credit cards of the Registered Cardholder;
      • Any amount charged to any of the Bank issued credit cards of the Registered Cardholder during the Promotion Period that is subsequently cancelled, voided or reversed within 30 days from the date of transaction.
      • Balance owing on the Registered Cardholder’s credit card accounts from other months.
