Domestic Money Transfer

Money Transfer by Bahtnet
Description It is a money transfer service through the Bank of Thailand computer network. Client can instruct the bank to transfer money to a beneficiary's account with other commercial banks in Thailand, with same day value.
Terms The client can transfer an unlimited amount through the network on any banking day between 8.30 a.m. - 2.30 p.m.
Commission Charges
  • Transfer within Bangkok/Greater Bangkok:
    • Charges from originator 150 baht per item (charge by Remitting Bank)
    • Charges from beneficiary 100 baht per item (charge by Receiving Bank)
  • Transfer from Bangkok/Greater Bangkok to Upcountry or Upcountry to Upcountry
    • Charges from originator 150 baht per item (charge by Remitting Bank)
    • Charges from beneficiary 100 baht per item plus domestic transfer charges (charge by Receiving Bank)
  • Transfer from Upcountry to Bangkok/Greater Bangkok
    • Charges from originator 150 baht per item plus domestic transfer charges
    • Charges from beneficiary 100 baht per item

*Remark: Domestic Transfer Charge is :

  • 10 baht is charged for every 10,000 baht or part thereof.
  • Minimum 10 baht per item.
  • Maximum 750 baht per item.
Terms and Conditions The client has to submit Money Transfer by Bahtnet Application Form for the Bank.
Document Required
  • Application form for Money Transfer by Bahtnet.
  • A photo copy of Personal ID.
  • All pertinent documents to be used as support for the Money Transfer by Bahtnet.
Money Transfer by Online System
Description Money transfer between head office and all branches in metropolitan and upcountry can be done by online computer network system. The beneficiary must first open a deposit account with the Bank.
Commission Charges Ten baht is charged for every 10,000 baht or part thereof. Minimum or fraction of 10,000 baht charge is 10 baht, maximum charge is 1,000 baht plus leased line cost of 20 baht charged per transaction.
Terms and Conditions The client has to submit Money Transfer by Online System Application Form for the Bank.
Document Required
  • Application form for Money Transfer by Bahtnet.
  • A photo copy of Personal ID.
  • All pertinent documents to be used as support for the Money Transfer by Bahtnet.
Money Transfer by Media Clearing (SMART Credit)
Description This money transfer service is for individual transactions between customers who have accounts with other banks. The Bank of Thailand (BOT) is the clearing centre, and next day value on funds is given.
Commission Charges
  • Charge 12 baht per transaction for amount less than and equivalent to 100,000 baht.
  • Charge 40 baht per transaction for amount more than 100,000 baht and up to equivalent 500,000 baht.
  • Charge 100 baht per transaction for amount more than 500,000 baht and up to equivalent 2,000,000 baht.
Terms and Conditions The client has to submit Money Transfer by Media Clearing (SMART Credit) Application Form for the Bank.
Document Required
  • Application form for Money Transfer by Media Clearing (SMART Credit).
  • A photo copy of Personal ID.
  • All pertinent documents to be used as support for the Money Transfer by Media Clearing (SMART Credit).
Money Transfer by Standing Order
Description Customer can instruct the bank to transfer funds to a beneficiary on a regular basis.
Commission Charges
  • Money transfer for goods and membership payment or into the account of other banks. The setup system based on customer request at 200 baht per set up or change of new system.
  • Transfer to Standard Chartered (Thai)'s account 20 baht per transaction.
  • Transfer to other banks' account by issuing Standard Chartered (Thai) Cashier Cheque 30 baht per transaction.
  • Automatic transfer between normal savings and current account is 30 baht per day.
Terms and Conditions The client has to submit Money Transfer by Standing Order Application Form for the Bank.

  • A photo copy of Personal ID.
  • All pertinent documents to be used as support for the Money Transfer by Standing Order.
