Terms and Conditions
Customers should qualify for the relevant conditions of the Bank's related remittance requirements such as:
Related information such as remittance account name, address and account number should be filled in clearly.
Remittance of large amount must comply with the terms stipulated in related domestic laws and the Bank's regulations.
For others not specifically spelled out here, they shall follow rules drafted in the account opening general agreement and related account opening documents signed between customers and the Bank.
Services include remittance from a Taiwan Standard Chartered account to China or Hong Kong Standard Chartered accounts, or vice versa.
Currency options: This service encompasses currencies including USD, EUR and HKD.
Limits on account: Accounts for both remitting outward and receiving remittance must be under the same customer’s name, using the same currency in Standard Chartered Bank.
Remittance time limits: Customers must process outward remittance transactions prior to the end of the Bank's business hours (3:00 p.m.) for local branches on normal business days so that the capital can be remitted into designated account before 12:00 a.m. of the remittance receiving country's local time. However, remittance into designated account will be postponed one day later if the original receiving day is a national holiday. Please note, in some cases this service will not be available over public holidays.
This service is limited to the Bank's over-the-counter transactions and phone-banking transactions.
