The daily withdrawal maximum allowed for overseas emergency cash withdrawal service is local currency equivalent to US$5,000. The service requires no service charge. Customers will have the convenience of receiving cash in local currency without having to worry about currency exchange.

Things to know about overseas emergency cash withdrawal service
1 The service is available only to SCB PRIORITY Banking customers themselves. You may not withdraw cash in an amount more than the available funds in your TWD/foreign currency current account with SCB in Taiwan (not including a dormant account).
2 You must complete the application form and accept the relevant terms and conditions stated in the application to authorise the Bank to deduct money from your deposit account. The phone banking center in Taiwan must verify accuracy of your identification and whether the amount for withdrawal does not exceed the balance of your account. The local branch in the foreign country/territory will then confirm whether you accept the exchange rate between the currency available in the designated account for withdrawal and the local currency. After you sign the application to acknowledge accuracy of the above, the funds in local currency will be available to you. The account opening branch will lock the amount of withdrawn funds in your account and debit the same amount no later than the following business day.
3 You should visit one of the local branches and present your ID (either your passport, National ID card, or National Health Insurance card). The bank teller will assist you in contacting the phone banking center in Taiwan to verify your identity (you should provide the correct phone banking PIN number or the chop registered with the Bank).
4 The service is available when the branches in the foreign country/territory and in Taiwan are both open for business and the service hours are mostly between 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM Taiwan time.
