Security Notice – Issue with fingerprint sensor on some Samsung devices
Dear Valued Customer,
Samsung has reported a fingerprint sensor error on some Samsung Galaxy devices. This error appears when the device recognizes the 3D pattern on a screen protector or phone case as a user’s fingerprint. Thus, the device may be unlocked by an unregistered fingerprint. (*)
Affected models include Samsung Galaxy S10 / S10+/ S10 5G, Samsung Galaxy Note 10 / 10+ and Samsung Galaxy Tab S6.
To prevent any unauthorized access to Online Banking of Standard Chartered (Vietnam) Limited (on tablet or mobile device) clients using these devices are recommended to disable fingerprint protection on their devices and use pattern, PIN, or passwords until a fix has been completed by Samsung.
