Vietnam ranks first in Southeast Asia after the Mumbai leg of Standard Chartered Bank’s Greatest Race on Earth
Hanoi, January 21st, 2008 – With a finishing time of 02:30:57, top Vietnamese runner Nguyen Dang Duc Bao finished first in the Southeast Asia region’s ranking in the Mumbai leg of Standard Chartered Bank’s Greatest Race on Earth 2007/08 series. Vietnam remains first in the overall standings for the region.
Kenyan John Kelai has won his second consecutive Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon, completing the course in a stunning time of 02:12:22, just two seconds shy of the course record.
With performance by Nguyen Dang Duc Bao in the Mumbai leg, the third leg of Standard Chartered Bank’s Greatest Race on Earth, Vietnam now ranks the 16th in the overall standings among 35 teams in the Nations Challenge Men. The rest Vietnamese runner set to compete in the remaining race in Hong Kong is Bui Van Toan.
