Life assured can be the same or different from the policy holder.

Medical underwriting

For the cover up to $4,499,999:

  • 10 medical underwriting questions
  • 3 months waiting period (subject to claim underwriting)

For cover above $4,500,00.00

  • 10 medical underwriting questions
  • The policy holder undergoes medical tests

Policy termination Rules

The Life Plan will terminate:

  • On the death of the Life Assured
  • If the premium payment rules are violated
  • On the Policyholder’s request for cancellation. OM can also cancel contract.
  • On expiry of the term of the policy.

Claims underwriting

A certificate of a medical attendant report from the client’s medical doctor will be requested for death within constable period of 3 years. This will seek to ensure that:

  • The claim is valid
  • The waiting period had passed, for Untested business
  • There was no case of non-disclosure of an illness that led to death of life assured

Claimant must produce:

  • Original copy of contract
  • Claim form
  • Original death certificate
  • Police report if accident death
  • Claimant’s ID
