    Automatic payments made by the bank for a stated amount on a fixed date and period as instructed by the customer. Beneficiaries can be customers of other financial institutions.

  • Visa International Debit Cards

    VISA branded plastic cards used to withdraw money from ATMs. Effect payments to selected merchants through VISA POS. Cash withdrawal on ATMs & POS. Choice of Gold or Infinite Card (features explained under cards)

  • Stop Payments

    Available upon written instructions to the bank by the customer.

  • E-Statements

    The statement is produced monthly and emailed to the customer for free. Historical statements are also available on request for a fee. (Refer to BUSINESS CONDITIONS). Copies of paid cheques and credit vouchers are available on request for a fee (Refer to BUSINESS CONDITIONS).

  • Joint Accounts

    For married couples, with legal marriage certificates.

  • Funds Transfers

    Permitted for the credit of accounts within Standard Chartered Bank. Real Time Gross Settlement System (RTGS) available for interbank transactions.

Opening Requirements

Minimum opening requirements for individual Current Accounts

  • One colour passport size photograph
  • Original / copy of National ID (metal/plastic), driver's licence or valid passport
  • Proof of residential address in the form of ZESA/Water/Tel One bill within 3 months in one's own name or
  1. if it is landlord/tenant relationship, a lease agreement together with utility bill/affidavit from landlord authenticated by a commissioner of oaths who is a lawyer, showing the lawyer's physical address and contact numbers plus landlord ID.
  2. husband/wife relationship, a marriage certificate plus utility bill
  3. if it is child/parent relationship, a long birth certificate plus utility bill
  4. letter from employer confirming residential address on company letterhead
  5. Letters from schools, chiefs or headmen
  6. Referral letters from Senior Bank Officials
  • A minimum opening balance is required
