*Terms and conditions for iPhone X Credit Card Campaign

  • This Offer is applicable only to existing Standard Chartered Bank credit card clients (hereinafter referred to as ‘the cardholders) who have received direct communication by the Bank through SMS, email, or Online Banking
  • The Offer is valid from 15 December 2017 until 15 June 2018 (hereinafter referred as ‘the campaign period’)
  • The clients who register for the campaign and agree to meet the Offer requirements as per these Terms and Conditions are eligible to receive a guaranteed iPhone X at the time of registration for the Offer

Key Requirements of the Offer

  • The selected cardholders must first register for the Offer by sending an SMS ‘iPhoneX’ to “3993” between 15 December 2017 until 15 March 2018
  • The Bank will charge a registration fee of AED 999 to the primary credit card account upon the receipt of the registration request
  • The registration will only be considered valid if the primary cardholder sends the SMS from his/her registered mobile number as per the Bank’s record
  • By participating in this Offer, the cardholder agrees and consents to the following:
    • One time registration fee AED 999 will be charged on the credit card account for the guaranteed iPhone X;
    • The minimum spend requirements as communicated by the Bank through SMS, email, letter, or Online Banking must be met by the client;
    • If the minimum spend requirement is not met by 15 June 2018, an additional charge of AED 3,501 will be levied on the primary card account;

Minimum Spend Requirements of the Offer

  • The ‘minimum spend requirement’ only includes retail transactions such as credit card retail purchases, Point-Of-Sale and online transactions (within or outside the UAE)
  • The following transactions are excluded from the minimum spend requirement: Cashiers Order booked for School /college/university/training institute fees (educational), spends at exchange houses, cash withdrawals, balance transfers, Fixed Payment Plans and Smart Payment Plans
  • Retail purchases/transactions made on the primary as well as supplementary credit card/s will be included in the calculation of the minimum spend requirement
  • Retail transactions made on the credit card which are subsequently converted into Easy Instalment Plans are included for the minimum spend requirement. However, the equal monthly instalment will not count as part of the minimum spend requirement
  • Only Retail purchases/transactions made on the primary credit card or supplementary credit card linked to the primary card as communicated by the Bank through SMS, email, Online Banking will be included in the calculation of the minimum spend requirement

Delivery of the iPhone X

  • The cardholder will receive a call from the Bank-authorized merchant to fix an appointment to deliver the iPhone X within 15 working days after registering for this Offer
  • All cardholders must provide a valid photo ID (Emirates ID, Driving License, Passport or equivalent) to the courier/merchant and present their Standard Chartered credit card at the time of receiving the iPhone X
  • If the iPhone X is not available with the participating vendor, it will be delivered later subject to availability of the stock

General Conditions of the Offer

  • This Offer is limited to only one iPhone X per primary cardholder
  • The Bank does not offer or provide any warranties, or accept any responsibility or liability of any kind with respect to the iPhone X given under this offer
  • Apple is not a participant in or a sponsor of this program
  • To the extent of any inconsistency between this Offer and Standard Chartered Client Terms and Credit Card Terms (available at any of our branches or our website), the Standard Chartered Client Terms and Credit Card Terms and Conditions will prevail
  • All cardholders eligible for this Offer will not be eligible for any other Offer offered by Standard Chartered Bank UAE on credit cards during the period of this Offer
  • All deregistration request will be accepted only if the client places the request within 3 days after the initial registration
  • This Offer, along with its features, has been introduced by the Bank at its sole discretion
  • The Bank reserves the right to substitute the prize with any alternative prize of equivalent value at any time without prior notice. In case of any disputes, including but not limited to disputes on meeting spend thresholds, the Bank’s decision will be considered as final
  • The iPhone X is non-transferable and not exchangeable for cash or any other item
  • The Bank is not responsible for any loss, damage and/or injury sustained by the winner or any other person arising directly or indirectly from the use of the iPhone X. The Bank is not the supplier of any iPhone X offered and will not accept contractual, torts or any other kind of liability in respect of any iPhone X supplied by third party merchants. The Bank makes no representation or warranty with respect to the satisfactory quality or performance of the iPhone X given in this offer. The iPhone X is subject to the terms and conditions as may be imposed by the Merchant(s) which are beyond our control. Accordingly, the Bank will not be responsible or liable for any death, injury, damage or loss suffered by any card holder or any third party or any of their property which is caused directly or indirectly by any of the iPhone X.
  • All cardholders who cancel or terminate the credit card for any reason before 15 June 2018 and do not meet the spend criteria, will be charged AED 3,501 to the primary card account
  • If the credit card is overdue, blocked or suspended for any reason whatsoever before 15 June 2018 and the cardholder has not met the spend criteria, AED 3,501 will be charged to the primary card account which is the balance cost of the iPhone X
  • The Bank’s decision on computation and for charging AED 3,501 for the iPhone X will be final, conclusive and binding to the card holder
