Standard Chartered in Colombia
Standard Chartered opened its representative office in Bogota in 1995. As a representative office, we support clients in Latin America with access to offshore products and services across our network.
Our Corporate & Institutional banking strategy is focused on financial institutions, and select Latin American corporates with links to the Standard Chartered network. We support our client base through Trade Finance, Cash Management, Corporate Finance, DCM and other products that we offer offshore.

Saulo Ferraz
CEO, Colombia, & Head of Coverage, Colombia
Saulo Ferraz is a senior banking executive with more than 25 years of experience in Corporate Banking across industries, geographies, and product groups.
Most recently, he was Corporate Bank Head for Citi Colombia and Alternate Board Member of the bank, from September 2023 to July 2026. Before that, from May 2019 to September 2023, he was Head of Multinational Coverage for the Andean Region, based in Bogotá, covering Colombia, Peru, Ecuador and Venezuela. From 2015 to 2019 he was LATAM Desk Head in New York, covering Latin American multinationals in North America. He previously worked in São Paulo as Senior Banker in CIB (2012 to 2015), covering Brazil’s largest conglomerates, and in the US (2008 to 2012), managing Commercial Banking and Middle Market flows between Latin America and the US. Across his Citi career, he has worked in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, New York, Miami and Bogotá. He began his career at an independent asset management company in Brazil.
His product experience includes a full scope of Corporate Banking products, as well as project and infrastructure finance, structured and acquisition finance, multilateral agency financing (Eximbank, BNDES, OPIC and IDB), and USD and EUR senior notes issuances.
Mr. Ferraz holds an MBA in Finance from USP/FIPE, a law degree from Universidade Mackenzie, a Master in International Economics from Université Grenoble Alpes, and a Master in Sports Management from FIFA/CIES/FGV. A passionate sports enthusiast, he is married and has two daughters.
