Mazen Bunyan

Mazen Bunyan joined Standard Chartered Bank Saudi Arabia as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in November 2022. Mazen has over 20 years of extensive experience in Financial Services, particularly in the areas of Corporate Finance, Corporate Banking, Strategic Planning, and Risk with leading local and international banks.

Prior to joining, he was CEO of SAB Invest, a subsidiary of Saudi Awwal Bank (SAB/HSBC) based in Riyadh, responsible for its strategic direction while leading the negotiation and implementation of integrating SAB Invest with SAB/HSBC Saudi Arabia.

Prior to this, Mazen has employed by SAB (an HSBC affiliate) since 2003, holding senior roles in Global Banking & Markets, most recently as Co-Head of Global Banking. Mazen played a key role in building Global Banking & Markets into a very significant business. Mazen also worked with Deutsche Bank for three years leading the Corporate Banking Coverage team in Riyadh, responsible for originating, executing, and managing key relationships in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait across industries and sectors.
