June full of industry events

on July 31, 2025

Cybersecurity, diversity in IT, software engineering – these were the topics that stayed with us throughout June, which was full of intense meetings, debates, and discussions among experts.

We participated in four major events, and at each of them we showed what Standard Chartered is, how we work, and why it is worth getting to know us better. Our stands became a place for informal conversations, exchange of experiences, and the first steps towards new professional relationships.

Confidence Conference 2025, Cracow

This is one of the largest events dedicated to cybersecurity in Europe. Every year, it brings together experts, engineers, analysts, and IT security enthusiasts who meet in Krakow to exchange experiences.

For us, it was a great opportunity to share our approach to security and show that working at Standard Chartered is not just about finance. It is also about development in advanced technologies and data security: our Warsaw office employs over 200 cybersecurity specialists.

Our stand, where we held a quiz with prizes, attracted both experienced professionals and those who are planning to enter the world of cybersecurity. We also had the opportunity to welcome the participants at the opening, and our specialists shared their knowledge on various stages.

Women in Tech Summit 2025, Warsaw

This event focuses on supporting women in the technology industry. It is a space for female programmers, engineers, project leaders, and all those who want to build their careers in IT in a spirit of diversity and equality.

Our presence was a natural extension of the values we embrace at Standard Chartered – supporting talent development and building an inclusive work environment. Our colleagues were actively involved in the conference – not only as attendees, but also as panellists, speakers, technical workshop leaders, and mentors.

Lambda Days 2025, Cracow

A renowned European event for enthusiasts of functional languages and modern technologies. It is a meeting place for programmers and system architects who want to share their knowledge and learn about new approaches to software engineering. Our experts specialising in the Haskell and Mu programming languages, who build tools for risk analysis in financial markets, participated in the event.

Our presence showed that at Standard Chartered we have room for advanced projects, ambitious engineering teams and continuous development. Thanks to our commitment as a Diversity & Inclusion Sponsor, the organisers donated tickets to people from groups underrepresented in IT who would otherwise not have been able to attend the event.

X33fcon, Gdynia

A conference that focuses on a very specific challenge in the security industry: collaboration between blue teams and red teams, often referred to as purple teaming. It aims to show that both blue and red teams bring unique competencies to an organisation, but it is their collaboration that brings the best results.

We were a Silver Sponsor of the event, and our experts were involved in the discussion, answering questions from participants and exchanging ideas with representatives of both the offensive and defensive sides of cybersecurity.

June showed that attending industry events for us is more than just participation – it is a real opportunity to exchange knowledge, inspire others, and build relationships. We would like to thank everyone who visited our stands, participated in the talks, and engaged in conversation with us. And we have another meeting ahead of us – Poland Business Run in Krakow and Warsaw! See you there!
