Poland Business Run 2025 – a record turnout for Standard Chartered and unforgettable emotions!

This year’s Poland Business Run is now behind us – and once again, we had the honour of joining the event as its strategic partner. However, 2025 has given us exceptional reasons to be proud. This edition was the largest in our history in terms of participation: an impressive 64 teams, with 17 running live in Warsaw and the rest joining virtually. Altogether, that meant 320 runners from our firm – a true record of commitment and enthusiasm!

About the event

The Poland Business Run is the largest charitable business run in Poland, created to support people with motor disabilities and those after amputations or mastectomy. Each team consists of five participants who take on a 4 km run in relay format.

This year, the run took place in Warsaw (31 August), Cracow (6-7 September) and virtually, which allowed as many as 46,000 people across the country to take part. The event once again demonstrated the extraordinary energy and solidarity.

Our involvement

For yet another year, we were proud to be a strategic partner of the event. In Warsaw, our CEO, Anna Urbańska, had the honour of officially opening the race. Beyond the sporting spirit, we were present in two special sponsor zones:

  • The Fun Zone – featuring a giant colouring wall for children and a strength tester for adults. We kept a live ranking of results, which added plenty of competitive excitement!
  • The Chill-Out Zone – a place to relax, enjoy refreshing lemonade, and meet other participants of the run.

Our commitment extended beyond the track. Nearly 30 of our colleagues volunteered to support the organisation – from helping at the race office, to handing out medals, ensuring that everything ran smoothly. They made use of the extra volunteering leave offered as part of Standard Chartered’s employee benefits, truly embodying our values.

A record that inspires

64 teams and 320 runners – these numbers are more than statistics, they are proof of how much our people want to come together, act for others, and live by our shared values. At Standard Chartered, it’s not only about work – it’s also about team spirit, energy, and solidarity.

This year’s Poland Business Run has already raised enough funds to support over 100 beneficiaries, with more applications still being reviewed.

Poland Business Run is a unique opportunity to combine sport, team bonding, and meaningful impact. We are incredibly proud of everyone who took part – the runners, the volunteers, and everyone who supported our presence at this remarkable event.
